AMA About Hive (or other things) Podcast Ep 12 – Our Cat Freddie

For today’s episode, in honor of #caturday (which is today’s #HiveBloPoMo blogging prompt) and yesterday’s four year anniversary of our cat Freddie showing up on our doorstep, I decided to talk today about his arrival into our lives (and hearts).

▶️ Listen on Aureal

Something I forgot to mention in the episode though – Sid (our elderly cat) perked up after Freddie’s arrival, and after we’d worried he was slipping away in 2018, he spent close to another two years with us before we had to say goodbye in June 2020. Freddie’s addition to our family was an amazing blessing in more ways than one.

Show Notes for Our Cat Freddie

Here are some of the things I mention in the episode –

♦️ My announcement post for HiveBloPoMo with the #Caturday prompt for today (and daily blog prompts for every other day of the month) – Hive Blog Posting Month (aka #HiveBloPoMo) starts November 1st 2022!

♦️ One of my past HiveBloPoMo posts (November 2020) featuring Freddie – Five Freddie Fotos For Feline Friday Fun! that has some shots that show off his amazing paws.

Some recent photos of Freddie and Pumpkin, taken just three days ago on November 9th, 2022.

Our Cat Freddie
When I went in to our room the other night, I found the two boys sleeping closer than they ever had before (in the year or so that we’ve had Pumpkin). And yes, even though Pumpkin has an orange sounding name, he’s the mostly white cat on the left (with a splash of color on his head and legs) and Freddie is the orange cat on the right…lol!

I got my camera just in time to see them being extra cute. I thought Freddie was going to pat Pumpkin on the nose…

Our Cat Freddie
… but instead he was just stretching and yawning….lol! But Pumpkin took the opportunity to sniff his paws.

A moment later, they both shut their eyes, but at the last second before I took the picture, Pumpkin opened his to check on Freddie.

Our Cat Freddie
I took a different angle to show how close they were, and realized it does a pretty good job of showing the size difference. Pumpkin in an average size for a cat. Freddie is an extra large!

That’s it for today!

So if you have a question, please drop it as a reply to any of my AMA posts this month (either here on Hive or on my aforementioned WP blog), and thanks in advance for giving me fodder for my chatter!

Happy listening all!

Oh, and here is my post on Hive, and yesterday’s post on WordPress.
