For people not on Hive, or even for those who are brand new to the blockchain, the term “curation” can be a bit confusing. So for tonight’s episode I decided to explain a bit about curation on Hive and how it works.

Also, if you’re only seeing this message in my Hive Post, please check back in a bit for my expanded post with show notes. I’m no longer including that text in my Aureal Episode description, as it doesn’t format well on the aureal site.

Show Notes for Curation on Hive
Here are some of the things I mention in the episode –
♦️ I knew I had a post written by another Hiver bookmarked somewhere that talked about curation, but silly me – I didn’t look for it before I recorded my episode…lol! While this is a great overview of Hive curation, it doesn’t touch on all the points I mentioned – guess I might have to do my own post at some point in the future. 😂
CURATION ON HIVE – What is it and how to do it? (+ How I curate) by @whack.science
♦️ Another great post about curation, although from the standpoint of making your own content more appealing to curators is – How to make your post more curatable by @livinguktaiwan
♦️ This last link I’ll share is also helpful for things to keep in mind when creating content, but I think you can also keep these things in mind when doing your own curation – So What’s The Criteria For A Quality Post? – How Curators Make Their Selections… by @crosheille
♦️ Again, since these awesome posts aren’t exactly lining up with how I discussed curation in my podcast, I may have to do my own at some point, to give a short (hopefully helpful) explanation of curation on Hive. Feel free to shout out if you know of a great post on the topic that I missed, because I’d love to check it out (and possibly edit it in here!).
That’s it for today!
So if you have a question, please drop it as a reply to any of my AMA posts this month (either here on Hive or on my aforementioned WP blog), and thanks in advance for giving me fodder for my chatter!
Happy listening all!
Oh, and here is my post on Hive, and yesterday’s post on WordPress. I’m thinking about adding a list at the bottom of each post with links to all the previous episodes – thoughts?
