Today I address a question that I’ve heard many times over the years, ever since I joined this awesome blockchain blogging (and so much more!) community. Since you’re able to monetize your blog, people tend to ask – how much does Hive cost? Do you need to pay to get an account? Are you required to buy anything once you join? The very short answer (which I probably shouldn’t say, so you have to listen to my podcast to find out…lol) is – it costs nothing.

Also, if you’re only seeing this message in my Hive Post, please check back in a bit for my expanded post with show notes. I’m no longer including that text in my Aureal Episode description, as it doesn’t format well on the aureal site.

Show Notes for How Much Does Hive Cost
Again, not too many things I mention in the episode that needed linking, but I came up with –
♦️ The official word about how much Hive costs on the Does it cost anything to post, comment, or vote? section of the Hive FAQ
♦️ Information back in 2020 about Hive referrals HIVE Referral Tracker through the Hive account, @hiveonboard.
♦️ I also found this information under the Peakd tab for referrals, but since you can’t view it unless you’re logged into your Hive account, I thought I’d screencap the bit of info at the top so everyone can easily see it –
♦️ A little more info about the new and improved referrals section of peakd is in their post – SimpleSwap, Communities Titles and Better Referrals Page
That’s it for today!
So if you have a question, please drop it as a reply to any of my AMA posts this month (either here on Hive or on my aforementioned WP blog), and thanks in advance for giving me fodder for my chatter!
Happy listening all!
Oh, and here is my post on WordPress
Oh, and here is my post on Hive, and yesterday’s post on WordPress. I’m thinking about adding a list at the bottom of each post with links to all the previous episodes – thoughts?
