On Tuesday, June 26th, Eddie, our beloved Schipperke, lost his battle with Cushings.
Words are still failing me. Someday I’ll be ready to share some of the wonderful memories of our oh-too-brief time with him, but for now, I still miss him too much.
Rest easy, buddy. I know you have great company at the Rainbow Bridge.

I’m so sorry, Traci. They leave such a gaping hole in our lives when they have to leave.
Eddie will be playing with our boys, Kimi and Sura. I’m sure cats and dogs can make friends when they’ve crossed the bridge.
Thank you so much, Shayne. Surprisingly, our cat Sid, who merely tolerated Eddie’s presence in our home for most of the four years, spent the past few months curling up next to him on a regular basis, and even licked his face and ears a few times. I have no doubt they are all friends on the bridge. Thanks again for your kind words.
Traci…I am so sorry to hear about Eddie. I know you all loved him so much. He had a good life with good people. What more could one ask? My little Foxy is now 14 (if they were right about her age when we adopted her) and showing so many signs of slowing down. Her hearing has gone and her eyesight isn’t all there…but neither of those things prevent hugs, so we do a lot of hugs.
Hope all is well…Kim
Thank you, Kim. I’m sorry to hear Foxy is slowing down – we also did the extra hugs with Eddie for well over a year, and they helped him tremendously. Hugs are very good medicine!
Hope to catch up with you soon. ~T
