I originally planned to do a Moon Monday post for today, since I still have a bunch of photos from the March Full Crow Moon, taken the night after (I shared the ones from the night before to kick off my NaBloPoMo & HiveBloPoMo posting). However, I’d also planned to share these shots of a crow visit From February 27th, 2017 for the latest Feathered Friends – Show Me A Photo Contest Round 13 before it ended, but since that was two days ago, I decided to just share them today anyway and save the moon captures for another time.
And as almost always, these were taken with my my Nikon affixed to my tripod), in my Durham New Hampshire yard and cleaned up a bit (mostly exposure & sharpness, but I will confess to editing out some bird poop…lol) on PicMonkey.
Feathered Friends Crow Visit From February 27th, 2017
1. A few years ago, I had a few crows who’d visit me on a fairly regular basis. On this particular day (February 27th, to be exact) my guy who I called Angel hung around long enough that I got a bazillion shots. I’ve shared some from that visit before, but these are some I’ve had in a folder, waiting to be edited, for just over three years.
2. Angel in silhouette.
3. He spent a good deal of time hopping around where I had my feeders set up (that I called my Avian Eatery) checking things out.
4. Making sure I get his good side…lol
5. Of course, I think every side is his good side!
6. Such a curious guy!
7. I think he was hearing his crow friends off in the distance.
8. I could always tell it was him visiting as he’d arrive first, check things out, then one or two other crows would pop in.
9. And he was always as interestied in what I was doing as I was with him!
10. Calling to his friends to let them know the crazy bread lady left out some treats.
11. Time to hop down off the rock to grab a treat…
12. … before flying up onto his lookout branch to wait for his friends. Ordinarily I’d skip a photo that has a branch in the way like this, but I like that it showed the cool opalescent inner eye thing that crows (and other birds) have.

Angel is such an attention seeker! Also handsome. Love many of these photos, but #10 strikes me. Partly because of the rock. I am a sucker for rock.
