FF – Foto Friday for the Week Ending February 3 2017

Welcome to another Foto Friday! Bit of a shameless plug before I get started – while I’ve mentioned before that I have some of my photos for sale on Fine Art America, I’ve now recently resurrected my Zazzle store. I put together a last minute calendar for 2017, and I’m slowly adding more photos and products. If there’s a picture I’ve taken that you’d like to see on a particular product, feel free to shout out, and I’ll get it put together in short order.

Now, on to the pictures for this week. These were all taken with my Nikon between January 27th and February 3rd 2017.

BONUS – I posted these three shots on Facebook last night. Bit of an over explanation – for the vast majority of my pictures, I simply resize (usually 20% of the original) and crop where warranted. Occasionally I adjust the exposure (especially when shooting through a window), or edit out something small (for example, in the “Morning sun on the road home” photo from last week, I erased a small bit of telephone wire that showed in the upper left corner). But for this particular picture, I flat out “cheated.” I made a composite of a closeup shot of the crescent moon and a wide shot of the moon, Mars, and Venus. The first is the result, the second is the closeup that I resized to a teeny little moon, and the last is the unedited shot. All taken February 2nd, 2017 at around 6:45pm ET.
