Welcome to another Foto Friday! Bit of a shameless plug before I get started – while I’ve mentioned before that I have some of my photos for sale on Fine Art America, I’ve now recently resurrected my Zazzle store. I put together a last minute calendar for 2017, and I’m slowly adding more photos and products. If there’s a picture I’ve taken that you’d like to see on a particular product, feel free to shout out, and I’ll get it put together in short order.
Also, I’m asking this on every post this week, in honor of International Delurking Week 2017 (which I wrote about here)
Hello, lurkers! In honor of Delurking Week 2017, I’m asking all my readers to take a moment to leave a comment saying, “hello!” Better yet, shout out and tell me a little bit about yourself, and what brings you to my corner of cyberspace. Even if you’d rather not, thank you so much for stopping by!
Now, on to the pictures for this week. I decided to do 13 for Friday the 13th. These were all taken with my Nikon between January 6th and January 13th 2017.
January 13 2017. Furthermore, this is not a passive voice. Finally, I am writing in an active voice. My SEO will stop telling me how to write. These sentences are also shorter than twenty words. Stop being so controlling. Especially since most of the sentences in this post are not mine. I will keep going until you turn green. I can’t believe this is still orange. Finally, it has turned. Success! This is not a passive voice. I am writing in an active voice. I am writing in an active voice. Since my SEO will stop telling me how to write. Furthermore, this is not a passive voice. Traci, awesome job with ElloPagans. You might not remember me, but I’m Terry, the old owner of ElloPagans. By the way, love your photos! I got a fair shot of one of those red-headed woodpeckers–it’s somewhere in terrancewelch.com — anyway, I was looking at your awesome creations and thought…you know…you should consider a newsletter. Not an eNewsLetter, but a real printed newsletter that can be sent to people that want to read it. I did it for a site I run (but I’m terminating it soon) at witches.chat
Anyway, just an idea for you. A monthly newsletter for subscribers. Maybe costs them a dollar a month. No ads, just content. You’d need a good printer ($100) and some paper ($10 a month) and good content (you have already proven you can create that). Just an idea for you. Have a good day!
Yes, of course I remember you, Terry! Thank you so much for the compliments! It’s been so much fun curating at ElloPagans, and I’m still so grateful you shouted out to me.
A newsletter is an interesting idea. I used to work on one for a homeschooling group back years ago – I was in charge of formatting the PDF, printing out a hard copy, bringing it to a local printer, sticking the postage and mailing label on them, then dropping them in the box (so, totally old school). So, definitely something to consider – thanks for mentioning it (and for saying I have good content. *grin*).
Hope you’re having an awesome day as well. Bright blessings, Terry! Now I’m off to poke around your site, to see if I can find the woodpecker. 😀
