FF – I heart iZOMBIE

After watching the third episode of the new show, iZombie with hubby and the eldest, I feel it is safe to declare my love for this latest based-on-a-comic-book offering. The main character is Liv – a medical resident with the perfect life, perfect fiancΓ©, and perfect future. In short order, she goes from this –

before

To this –

after

See, she got invited to a party by a co-worker, and she turned it down to be with her Major hunk. He, of course, tells her to go, and –

what is the worse

Ummm, Major mistake, because…

worse

The opening credits do an excellent job of setting the tone –

I mean, how could I not love a show when things like this pop up?

OMG

And the main character says things like this?

iZombie badass

Here’s to hoping it doesn’t follow Sleepy Hollow‘s lead in it’s all-but-confirmed Season Two. Although to be fair, I heard SH redeemed itself, and Season Three is supposed to get back to the Abbie and Ichabod awesomeness we came to adore in the beginning. Fingers crossed on both fronts.

Check out iZombie Tuesday nights on the CW or Hulu.

  1. I think the only zombie thing I ever watched (and loved) was Warm Bodies. It was more of a comedy (to me anyway). I prefer ghosts and demonic entities as entertainment. Lol.

    1. LOVE Warm Bodies! Yep, I agree that it’s a comedy (maybe even a rom-com, or even a nom-rom-com…LOL!). I think you’d enjoy this series, since the brain eating is limited to culinary delights such as, “Gnocchi stuffed with medulla oblongata with a fra diavolo sauce.” *grin*

  2. My other half LOVES this show. Adores it. He has a bit of a thing for the main actor (who doesn’t though, she’s wonderful!) but he watches all things zombie, sci fi and comic book and really rates this show.
It’s not for me, but I’m going to pass this along to him πŸ™‚ he’s currently catching up with the latest series which finally came to Sky or Netflix, I can’t recall which one. So glad you enjoy It!

  3. I’ve never watched izombie… I generally stear clear of all zombie related shows, but this review actually made me want to give it a try! Will tell you if I enjoy it!
    Jas xx

  4. Shoot, never even heard of this one before!! Wonder if a witch zombie would retain her powers…hmm… there’s a thought; Zombie X-men from Space, Which Witch is the Zombie and all those other comedic titles I am now thinking about πŸ˜‰

    1. To the best of my knowledge, it’s at least on Netflix UK – worse case scenario, shout out to Em (*points to her comment above*) and find out how her hubby watches it. I get the feeling you’re adore this show as much as we do! πŸ™‚

  5. Well I tend to feel like a zombie first thing in the morning; oh, and I see some resemblance to the character’s hair color and mine……coincidence???? πŸ˜‰ Cher xo

  6. I’ve only watched one zombie movie – Zombieland and it didn’t make me hungry for more, even though it had some black humor in it. I like your enthusiasm for it though, Traci!

    1. Ahh, Zombieland – a family favorite! No surprise, given “The Walking Dead” is one of our weekly “family TV night” choices. Thanks for dropping by, Molly! πŸ˜€

  7. Other than World War Z (book, not the movie), it’s been sole exposure to zombies. Although I may have to give it a second glance and add it to my Netflix queue. Between that and Riverdale, I’m going to be booked for a while.

    1. Our eldest (22) loves Riverdale, but I haven’t had a chance to check it out yet. So many great shows, so little free time… πŸ˜›

  8. So many shows have been cancelled this year. I did start watching this one and maybe I’ll give it another try. I am crushing Lost Girl right now.

    1. OMG, I forgot about Lost Girl! I started catching up on Netflix when I wrecked my knee in October, but I’m still only about 2 seasons in. Gotta get back to it soon – thanks for reminding me! πŸ™‚

Feel free to shout out!
