I can’t believe I’ve done almost a years worth of Fandom Fridays, and haven’t yet mentioned World of Warcraft! I’ve been playing since the second expansion, Wrath of the Lich King (so, around 2008-ish). We have a family guild called, “Unholy Humanity” because we acquired it, in-game, from someone selling it for gold (now, after so many years, it doesn’t feel right to rename it). My main is Kallani, a Draenei ret pally, shown below in a screen cap from the recent WoW event, Hallow’s End –
But what better time to rectify my mistake than the weekend of Blizz Con, the video game convention hosted by Blizzard (the company behind World of Warcraft, as well as other games). Especially this particular, extra special Blizz Con. Why is it so special?
There’s this trailer for Legion, the expansion pack being released next year –
And this MOVIE (yes, we’ve heard the rumors, we’ve seen the casting news, we’ve peeked at the teasers, but now there’s an actual trailer!!!!) trailer –
I love the rundown by folks over at the Nerdist –
Do you play WoW? If not, what are some of your favorite MMORPG? Feel free to shout out in the comment section below.
Love this post, Wow is really a wonderful game ! I started playing it quite early too, when the original game had no expansion whatsoever (it was ~2004). How cool it might be to play as a family ! It’s such a convivial universe
Ahh, so you started about the same time as hubby and our kids – it took a few years of arm twisting to get me to join in. Not because I didn’t want to – I was afraid I’d like it too much, and turns out I was right! LOL! So awesome to connect with another player! ๐
