Extra! Extra! While this might be old news to some, I’m shouting out all the same. There’s a (relatively) new Steemit community called @steemittarot. Want to know more? Here’s the post with “all the news that’s fit to print” –
You can also check out the feed over at @steemittarot or the hash tag #tarottuesday for some awesome Tarot posts from amazing Steemians. There’s also a weekly wrap-up post each Wednesday, so you can find all the Tarot Tuesday offerings in one place.
Now, speaking of offerings, here’s mine for the upcoming week, beginning today (July 3rd, 2018) …
It’s Tarot Tuesday again!
Here in the States., it’s also the day before Independence Day. To all my American readers, I wish you a happy and safe Fourth of July celebration!
First up, here’s quick little run down on how I put these readings together, for those who’ve asked –
I use my very old & extremely well-loved Universal Waite Smith Tarot Deck to draw the cards. Then, because the cards are definitely not ready for their closeup, I photograph the cards using my stand-in Radiant Deck. Oh, and yes – it’s a new picture of the back of the cards every week.
Now pm to the reading. It works like this – pick the card (or cards) that you’re drawn to, then scroll to the bottom of this post for the card reveal and my short interpretation of what to expect in the upcoming week. If more than one strikes your fancy, go for it! In fact, I’ve been told there are some who pick all three cards each week, and use this as a mini past/present/future reading! 😊
Okay, got your card (or cards)? Then it’s time to scroll to the bottom of the post for the big reveal!
Quick thing before that – I used to use this space to share music from some of the awesomely talented musicians on Steemit, as a kind of spacer to make sure you don’t glimpse the card faces before you’ve made your choice. However, I’ve been a bit scarce on Steemit as of late (all to do with my body issues, and naught to do with the ever falling price of Steem), so instead I’m taking a page from @amariespeaks‘s book. She uses her incredibly cool original word art from her Instagram for people to scroll past, so I decided to once again use one of the bazillion quotos I created over the past few years, using my photography and quotes other people provided.
Okay, so now it’s finally time for the big card reveal. Your message for this week is…
Drum roll, please and thank you
This!
1. The Devil
Check your chains. Take a look at the things you think are holding you back. You might find the chains are loose enough to escape from, and your captivity was an illusion all along. I also tend to draw this card I get when I need to do a reality check – like, how much am I overindulging in things (gaming, alcohol, chocola… wait a second, there’s no such thing as chocolate overindulgence! *grin*), or how uptight am I being (afraid to splurge, nervous to try new things). Now is the time for “Breaking the chains around you/Nobody else can bind you/Take a good look around you/Now you’re breaking the chains.”
2. Justice
Time for some balance. You’re out of whack. You’re spending too much time on one side of the scale – lots of thinking, but little doing; focusing on spiritual, but not physical; loads of time for work but nothing for play. It’s time to bring things back into balance. It might not be easy to take action, get exercising, say “no” or pass up some overtime – however it is what’s needed. Try to get the balance right.
3. Two of Wands
Stay focused. You’ve put your plan into action, and you’re beginning to see all the possibilities before you. However, you might be tempted at this point to try a short cut in the hopes of speeding up the process. While it might pay off, sometimes it’s better to stand fast and remind yourself of what you’re working towards while continuing the slow and steady path to success. Take a moment to look at the big picture, and know that your ships are on their way in, and soon you’ll be the king of the world!
I hope your message resonated for you. Be sure to shout out in the comment section, and let me know what you thought. And, as is the case with all my posts, if you enjoyed it, please feel free to share. Bright blessings!

Thank you for the timely reminder. Focus is my word of the year.
I love the quote/image Traci. I got number 2 which seems very apt. I feel like I’m going constantly lately and not getting much writing done. I’m taking a day off Friday and hols coming to rebalance!
