Welcome to Tarot Tuesday for the week of March 20th, 2018! My monthly free Tarot card readings were so popular, I decided to make them a weekly feature. If you want to be sure to catch the next one, you can follow my blog on WordPress or Bloglovin’, stalk my Facebook, Twitter, or other social media (all my links are in the widget on the left), or simply bookmark this site and set an alarm on your phone for Tuesdays at 8am EST.
For those wondering, I use my Universal Waite Smith Tarot Deck to draw the cards, but since it’s so well loved (I’ve owned it for a bazillion years), I then substitute my Radiant Deck for the photographs. And for the record, I take a new picture of the card backs every week – first, I do the cards face up, then flip them over and take a snap of the back. I add the numbers and such with Canva, and use the picture from the top of the post to create the blog graphic.
Also, while it probably doesn’t need to be said, I’m saying it anyway – this is for fun, and my messages should never be a substitute for your own good judgement and common sense. In fact, that applies to most things in life – if your gut tells you it’s not right, always listen.
Now, on to the reading! Pick the card (or cards) that you’re drawn to, then scroll down to the bottom of this post for the card reveal and my short interpretation of what to expect in the upcoming week.
Okay, you’ve picked your card (or cards), right?
I can’t believe I didn’t think of this before, but as I was putting this post together, it occurred to me – there are SO many brilliant musicians over on Steemit, so why not use one of the gazillion songs I fall in love with each day for my “Jeopardy Music“?
And naturally I had to pick @tarotbyfergus for this first go round. He is one of the first (if not the first) Steemian Tarot reader I connected with, and his songs (covers & originals) are always amazing. While this particular song is past post payout (on Steemit, you can upvote a post only for the initial 7 days), it’s the first one I thought of because Lost and Waiting just seems to go with the vibe of of all us HODLers over in Steemitland. While Fergus writes some awesome songs, this is actually a cover of an original by another brilliant Steemian, @basilmarples.
So, as you’re scrolling, please enjoy this musical interlude…
(CH)
I am lost, lost, floating aimlessly around
I’m lost and waiting to be found(v1)
When I put my foot where the floor should be
There’s nothing ever there but the deep blue sea
My toes keep dreaming of the ground
I’m lost and waiting to be found(v2)
Some days I think that I’ll be saved
Carried home on a giant wave
But all they do is drag me down
I’m lost and waiting to be found~ Basil Marples
Alrighty, here’s the big reveal! Your card is…
*drum roll*
This!
1. The Fool
Take that step! You have the chance to start down a new road, full of possibilities. Don’t second guess yourself – trust where this path is taking you, and make that leap! While you’ve been worrying that you’re not ready, and you still have to gather your things, just look – you’re already carrying everything you need with you. One word of caution – make sure you watch where you’re going. If you get caught up in the excitement, and start daydreaming while staring at the clouds, you may find yourself stepping off a cliff. Simply pay attention to your surroundings, put one foot in front of the other, and your journey will be magical.
2. Six of Swords
Leaving ain’t easy. . While new beginnings are typically seen as something joyous and exciting. sometimes they just plain hurt. Even if you’re the one who made the decision to leave a negative situation (job, relationship, home), it doesn’t mean you aren’t struggling with missing the familiar, positive aspects of what you’re walking away from. But you know this move is logically the best thing for all concerned – keep sailing towards the calm waters ahead, and as Queen said, “Leavin’ home ain’t easy/But may be the only way.”
3. Ace of Cups
The cup of inspiration. You are getting ideas, thoughts, tentative plans, maybe even considering a new love (be it person or artistic endeavor). You have a sense of something percolating just under the surface. It’s not your imagination. In the wise words of Natasha Bedingfield you are “Reaching for something in the distance / So close you can almost taste it / Release your inhibitions / Feel the rain on your skin / No one else can feel it for you / Only you can let it in.” You’ve been thirsty for something, and now you’re getting a taste of what you want. Go for it!
