Welcome to Tarot Tuesday for the week of May 22nd, 2018! My monthly free Tarot card readings were so popular, I decided to make them a weekly feature. If you want to be sure to catch the next one, you can follow my blog on WordPress or Bloglovin’, stalk my Facebook, Twitter, or other social media (all my links are in the widget on the left), or simply bookmark this site and set an alarm on your phone for Tuesdays at 8am EST.
For those wondering, I use my Universal Waite Smith Tarot Deck to draw the cards, but since it’s so well loved (I’ve owned it for a bazillion years), I then substitute my Radiant Deck for the photographs. And for the record, I take a new picture of the card backs every week – first, I do the cards face up, then flip them over and take a snap of the back. I add the numbers and such with Canva, and use the picture from the top of the post to create the blog graphic.
Also, while it probably doesn’t need to be said, I’m saying it anyway – this is for fun, and my messages should never be a substitute for your own good judgement and common sense. In fact, that applies to most things in life – if your gut tells you it’s not right, always listen.
Now, on to the reading! Pick the card (or cards) that you’re drawn to, then scroll down to the bottom of this post for the card reveal and my short interpretation of what to expect in the upcoming week.
Now that you’re all set with your choice, it’s time to scroll to the bottom of the post for the big reveal.
And as you’re scrolling through, please enjoy this musical interlude from one of the many extremely talented musicians on Steemit. I discovered this particular song (and Steemian) thanks to the Steemit Open Mic Week 85 winners post. As soon as I heard the first strains of the uke, I knew this was the song for this week!
So without further ado, here is Goodnight, My Love, Goodnight by @lillywilton

LYRICS
I like moonlight in the mornings.
But the nighttime suits me, too.
But you said mornings are just for sunshine,
And since that day, I lost my way to you.So I tried singing a little louder –
A ballad for the morning moon to hear.
And everyone around loved how the music sounded.
But you had headphones in your ears.Take the time you need.
Take the blanket that you like.
But there’s a spot in the bed in case you change your mind…
Goodnight, my love, goodnight.
Goosebumps, am I right? 😊
For the rest of the lyrics, and the lowdown on the story behind the song, be sure to visit her post Steemit OpenMic Week 85 – “Goodnight, My Love, Goodnight” (original).
Okay, now it’s time for the big card reveal. Your message for this week is…
Drum roll, please and thank you
This!
1. Five of Cups
Snap out of it. You’ve had a run of bad luck, and it seems like every time you turn around, something (or someone) is knocking over a cup of your happiness. While you’re not wrong, you’re forgetting something important – you have plenty of other cups still standing. Focusing on what’s gone wrong, and what you’ve lost, won’t stand the cups back up again and make the water reappear. Voice your disappointment, give yourself a little time to wallow, then pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again.
2. Wheel of Fortune
Lady Luck is smiling! Oh wait – that should be, “The Goddess Who Must Not Be Named.”*grin* Regardless, your luck is changing! Not only are good things heading your way, but this card is a great reminder that when things aren’t going as you hoped, just be patient for the wheel to turn back around again. Stay as positive as possible, focus on the bright side of things, then (and this is the most important thing), take some steps to make a change. Soon enough, the wheel will spin back around and you’ll appreciate being up all the more for having been down.
3. Page of Cups
The Look of Love. I think of this as the Romeo card – time to fall in love, either with a person, a story idea, a creative project, or something of that sort. You may also be receiving a message of love from someone – maybe not as overt as flowers and chocolate, but something to show they care. It could be as simple as a bringing you a fresh cup of coffee, or sharing a Facebook meme, that shows they are thinking of you. Artistically, it’s that moment of sudden inspiration, when you see your project in a new light, or a bizarre-yet-brilliant idea presents itself – go with it.
So, what did you think of your message? Please be sure to shout out in the comment section, and let me know what you thought. And, as is the case with all my posts, if you enjoyed it, please feel free to share. Bright blessings!
