QUICK NOTE – Things are still a bit hectic, so while I’ll have these posts scheduled to upload every Tuesday at 8am EST, I’m not sure when I’ll have them up on Facebook and such. Feel free to bookmark the Tarot Tuesday category page, and you’re welcome to share the posts on your wall, or tweet, pin, stumble, tumble, and whatever other social media strikes your fancy. Hopefully things will quiet down around here soon – I wrote a bit about what’s going on HERE and the latest update is HERE, if you want to take a peek.
Now, without further ado, welcome to Tarot Tuesday for the week of August 15th! My monthly free Tarot card readings were so popular, I decided to make them a weekly feature. If you want to catch the next one, be sure to follow my blog, stalk my Facebook, Twitter, or other social media (all my links are in the widget on the left). I shout out just about everywhere when I have a new post up.
For those wondering, I use my Universal Waite Smith Tarot Deck to draw the cards, but since it’s so well loved (I’ve owned it for a bazillion years), I then substitute my Radiant Deck for the photographs. Also, while it probably doesn’t need to be said, I’m saying it anyway – this is for fun, and my messages should never be a substitute for your own good judgement and common sense. In fact, that applies to most things in life – if your gut tells you it’s not right, always listen.
Now, on to the reading! Pick the card (or cards) that you’re drawn to, then scroll down to the bottom of this post for the card reveal and my short interpretation of what to expect in the upcoming week.
Okay, you’ve picked your card, right?

This!
1. The Hermit
Time for quiet contemplation. You need solitude. Some quiet time to reflect on things without distractions. It could be as simple as 15 minutes alone in a room without electronics or interruptions. But this isn’t the time to rest or nap – this is a chance to actively listen to your inner voice and see what it’s saying to you. Try something like journaling or guided meditation, and see how loud the silence can be.
2. Ten of Wands
The Burden. This card tends to show up for me when I’ve gotten caught in, “Fine, I’ll do it myself” mode. You know, when you think you need to do absolutely everything yourself, because no one else can do it the right way? And what happens when you do everything yourself? Yep, you get exhausted. All your creative juices are drying up. It’s time to put down the burden, and let someone else carry it for a while – even small, simple things, once delegated, will help you regain your spark. As the saying goes, “a burden shared is a burden halved.”
3. Ace of Swords
Time for challenges. You’ve had an “AHA!” moment. Now is the moment to pick up the sword, and cut the deadwood out of your life. It might not be easy to face the truth, but you’re up for the task, and you know what needs to be done. As Buffy said to all the potential slayers, “So here’s the part where you make a choice: What if you could have that power now? …make your choice. Are you ready to be strong?”

So, what did you think of your message? Please be sure to shout out in the comment section, and let me know what you thought. And, as is the case with all my posts, if you enjoyed it, please feel free to share.
