QUICK NOTE – The next few weeks will be a bit hectic, so while I’ll have these posts scheduled to upload every Tuesday at 8am EST, I’m not sure when I’ll have them up on Facebook and such. Feel free to bookmark the Tarot Tuesday category page, and you’re welcome to share the posts on your wall, or tweet, pin, stumble, tumble, and whatever other social media strikes your fancy. Hopefully things will quiet down around here soon – I wrote a bit about what’s going on HERE and HERE and HERE if you want to take a peek.
Now, without further ado, welcome to Tarot Tuesday for the week of August 1st! My monthly free Tarot card readings were so popular, I decided to make them a weekly feature. If you want to catch the next one, be sure to follow my blog, stalk my Facebook, Twitter, or other social media (all my links are in the widget on the left). I shout out just about everywhere when I have a new post up.
For those wondering, I use my Universal Waite Smith Tarot Deck to draw the cards, but since it’s so well loved (I’ve owned it for a bazillion years), I then substitute my Radiant Deck for the photographs. Also, while it probably doesn’t need to be said, I’m saying it anyway – this is for fun, and my messages should never be a substitute for your own good judgement and common sense. In fact, that applies to most things in life – if your gut tells you it’s not right, always listen.
Now, on to the reading! Pick the card (or cards) that you’re drawn to, then scroll down to the bottom of this post for the card reveal and my short interpretation of what to expect in the upcoming week.
Okay, you’ve picked your card, right?

This!
1. Five of Cups
Snap out of it. You’ve had a run of bad luck, and it seems like every time you turn around, something (or someone) is knocking over a cup of your happiness. While you’re not wrong, you’re forgetting something important – you have plenty of other cups still standing. Focusing on what’s gone wrong, and what you’ve lost, won’t stand the cups back up again and make the water reappear. Voice your disappointment, give yourself a little time to wallow, then pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again.
2. Seven of Cups
Decisions, decisions. You know the saying, “Careful what you wish for – you might get it?” After wishing you had more options, suddenly you have a ton to choose from. Now is not the time to be dazzled by the display – instead, take some time to carefully consider the practicalities involved, and pick based on reality, not wishful thinking. This card also shows up for me as a reminder to stop dreaming, and start doing – or, in the immortal words of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, “Don’t dream it, be it.”
3. Queen of Cups
Trust your intuition. Time to listen to your heart, and not your head. Sit, meditate, and reflect on all aspects of the situation, and try to figure out what makes emotional, if not practical, sense. This might also call for a hefty dose of compassion – sometimes simply being supportive for someone is all they need. Channeling your inner Miss Honey and using a listening ear, an open mind, and a bazillion hugs can go a long way towards healing and understanding.

So, what did you think of your message? Please be sure to shout out in the comment section, and let me know what you thought. And, as is the case with all my posts, if you enjoyed it, please feel free to share.
Bright blessings!
Dr. Frank N Furter! Too funny. Love the reference that many won’t get!
Thanks, Phil! I figure even if people aren’t familiar with the awesomesauceness that is RHPS, the message of “don’t dream it, be it” will still resonate. And for those who are, there’s an extra layer of geekiness to it all! *grin*
Wow always so on point. I’ve actually never had my cards read and have been surprised by how accurate this is every week.
Thanks, Heidi! Funny thing – I’ve never had my cards read either! 😀
Thank you! Tied between one & two before I peeked…not sure what that means ;). But I now have Rocky Horror in my head 😉
LOL! Nice, Marie!
Wanting to learn Taro so badly. My card had me pegged. I’m a dreamer and tend to paint things the way I want instead of how they really are. Gonna slap my own face and try to face facts and plan strategies! Thank you
LOL! I hear you, Sandi – had to slap my own face many times over the years. You’re very welcome, and best of luck!
I picked the Queen this week. I have a lot to reflect about during my placement and compassion is definitely called for. Thanks Traci 🙂
That’s it…you are my new favourite witch. And a know a lot of good ones. Honestly no sarcasm there.
LOL! Thanks so much, Lorna. I hope I continue to live up to your high praise! ❤️
(and I’ll see what I can do about that “good card for next week” request. *grin*)
This is such a cool idea- love it! Xxx
Thanks so much, Soph! Have a new one ready to go for tomorrow morning. 🙂
Can’t wait to read it xxx
