Welcome to Tarot Tuesday for the week of February 20th, 2018! My monthly free Tarot card readings were so popular, I decided to make them a weekly feature. If you want to be sure to catch the next one, you can follow my blog on WordPress or Bloglovin’, stalk my Facebook, Twitter, or other social media (all my links are in the widget on the left), or simply bookmark this site and set an alarm on your phone for Tuesdays at 8am EST.
For those wondering, I use my Universal Waite Smith Tarot Deck to draw the cards, but since it’s so well loved (I’ve owned it for a bazillion years), I then substitute my Radiant Deck for the photographs. And for the record, I take a new picture of the card backs every week – first, I do the cards face up, then flip them over and take a snap of the back. I add the numbers and such with Canva, and use the picture from the top of the post to create the blog graphic.
Also, while it probably doesn’t need to be said, I’m saying it anyway – this is for fun, and my messages should never be a substitute for your own good judgement and common sense. In fact, that applies to most things in life – if your gut tells you it’s not right, always listen.
Now, on to the reading! Pick the card (or cards) that you’re drawn to, then scroll down to the bottom of this post for the card reveal and my short interpretation of what to expect in the upcoming week.
Okay, you’ve picked your card, right?
Instead of my usual text to scroll past, here’s something a bit different. I’ve tried it on my Steemit posts for the past couple of weeks, and I’ve gotten a good response…
Please enjoy this musical interlude whilst you scroll to the bottom of the page. There seems to have been a fair amount of darkness affecting everyone in recent days, so I figured The Light by Disturbed would make for a good scrolling choice.
*clears throat*
Apologies in advance if I hit a wrong note or three…
“Like an unsung melody
The truth is waiting there for you to find it
It’s not a blight, but a remedy
A clear reminder of how it began
Deep inside your memoryTurned away as you struggled to find it
You heard the call as you walked away
A voice of calm from within the silence
And for what seemed an eternity
You waited, hoping it would call out againYou heard the shadow beckoning
Then your fears seemed to keep you blinded
You held your guard as you walked awayWhen you think all is forsaken
Listen to me now (all’s not forsaken)
You need never feel broken again
Sometimes darkness can show you the light.” ~ Disturbed
Alrighty, here’s the big reveal! Your card is…
*drum roll*
This!
1 Five of Pentacles
You are not alone. You’re lost. You’ve had a bunch of setbacks, and you feel like you have nothing left. No worries – there is help available, right around the corner, but you have to swallow your pride and ask. Things will be better soon, and you’ll know who your true friends are. As Kate Bush said to Peter Gabriel, “Don’t give up ’cause you have friends. Don’t give up you’re not the only one. Don’t give up no reason to be ashamed. Don’t give up you still have us. Don’t give up now we’re proud of who you are. Don’t give up you know it’s never been easy. Don’t give up ’cause I believe there’s a place, there’s a place where we belong.”
2. Ace of Swords
Time for challenges. You’ve had an “AHA!” moment. Now is the moment to pick up the sword, and cut the deadwood out of your life. It might not be easy to face the truth, but you’re up for the task, and you know what needs to be done. As Buffy said to all the potential slayers, “So here’s the part where you make a choice: What if you could have that power now? …make your choice. Are you ready to be strong?”
3. Three of Wands
Expand your horizons. You’ve done the preliminary leg work, and soon you will see the fruits of your labors. However, now that you’ve taken those steps, don’t assume this is it – there could still be other opportunities out there. Take a moment to look at the bigger picture. Keep an open mind, stay aware, and be confident. It’s time to, “Take your passion/And make it happen!”
So, what did you think of your message? Please be sure to shout out in the comment section, and let me know what you thought. And, as is the case with all my posts, if you enjoyed it, please feel free to share. Bright blessings!
[NOTE – The graphics in this post were created via Canva, but the Tarot card pictures were taken by yours truly. Also posted on my Steemit blog – Happy Tarot Tuesday! Here’s a free reading for the week of February 20th 2018]

Love the Kate Bush reference, Traci. Stumbled and shizzle for you x
Thank the celestial bodies! 3 of Wands gives me a glimmer of hope!
Five of Pentacles has me on point. It’s that swallowing my pride and asking for help part that I struggle with.
