Welcome to the first Tarot Tuesday of 2018! My monthly free Tarot card readings were so popular, I decided to make them a weekly feature. For those wondering, I use my Universal Waite Smith Tarot Deck to draw the cards, but since it’s so well loved (I’ve owned it for a bazillion years), I then substitute my Radiant Deck for the photographs. And for the record, I take a new picture of the card backs every week – first, I do the cards face up, then flip them over and take a snap of the back. I add the numbers and such with Canva, and use the picture from the top of the post to create the blog graphic.
Also, while it probably doesn’t need to be said, I’m saying it anyway – this is for fun, and my messages should never be a substitute for your own good judgement and common sense. In fact, that applies to most things in life – if your gut tells you it’s not right, always listen.

1. Knight of Swords
Charge it! You’re ready to run full tilt in a direction, and there’s nothing, or nobody, who can stop you. You have the passion and the drive to make things better, and you are ready to face any obstacles in your way. Just be careful that, in your haste to get to your destination, you don’t accidentally trample people in your path. Focus, awareness, and a little preparation to go with your enthusiasm will help ensure success. And the reason I said, “Charge it”? Every time I see this card, that’s the first thing to pop in my head (thanks, Wilma and Betty!).
2. The High Priestess
Time of secrets. You’ve suspected there have been forces working against you from behind the scenes for a while now. The good news – you’re right. The bad news – you still have no idea exactly what’s what. However, there’s a solution – before taking any action, start your own secretive action. Do some quiet research, listen to your gut, and then decide how you want to proceed. If you play your cards right, all will be revealed and, “You will see light in the darkness, you will make some sense of this. And when you’ve made your secret journey, you will find this love you miss.”
3. Page of Cups
The Look of Love. I think of this as the Romeo card – time to fall in love, either with a person, a story idea, a creative project, or something of that sort. You may also be receiving a message of love from someone – maybe not as overt as flowers and chocolate, but something to show they care. It could be as simple as a bringing you a fresh cup of coffee, or sharing a Facebook meme, that shows they are thinking of you. Artistically, it’s that moment of sudden inspiration, when you see your project in a new light, or a bizarre-yet-brilliant idea presents itself – go with it.
