As I mentioned yesterday, this full moon kinda snuck up on me. However, the weather didn’t – I knew the weekend was going to be mostly cloudy and rainy, so I took a ton of pictures Saturday night, just in case La Luna was hiding after she turned officially full Sunday night.
However, Mother Nature was feeling particularly magnanimous, and arranged it so I had some cloud free time both nights. As a result, I have about 20 million to choose from for today’s post. I tried to keep it under 10 thousand, but it was tough – she was really showing off for me!
These are all in the order I took them, and haven’t been filtered or touched up. I only resized this set, so the difference in lighting & such comes from playing with the zoom and jumping up and down the exposure (a step or two at a time). And for the millionth time, I absolutely ADORE my Nikon CoolPix – I never thought I’d love a camera with a built in lens so much, but I do!
Oh, and I captured a few short videos too. Hope you enjoy!

I love the photos with the tree branches. Gorgeous!
Ah!! I love photos of the full moon behind trees! Beautiful pictures, as always!
Wonderful. I like the one where the trees appear to be holding the moon in their branches.
