Happy Spring, New England!

Happy Spring, New England! To celebrate the rumored arrival of spring yesterday, as well as the fourth Nor’easter in three weeks due to hit my area later today , I decided to finally post some of my shots from Nor’easter Number Three.

Fair warning – there’s a bunch of bluebird pictures again (different from the ones I posted a week ago. I might be a bit obsessed with them at the moment – doesn’t help that so many are hanging out here for the past few weeks, forever distracting me with their flashes of color outside my window…

Oh, and all of these pictures are from March 12th to March 14th, 2018 – taken by yours truly in my Durham NH yard (either through the window, or braving the elements – LOL), and in the order I shot them. Note to self – taking pictures outside during a Nor’easter, even when using an umbrella, don’t work so well – I have a large number (not posted here) of shots that are unintentionally filtered through a water splattered lens… 😜

Almost forgot – these pictures feature (mostly in order):

  • Our cat Sid (short for Obsidian)
  • Bluebirds
  • Goldfinches
  • Downy (or Hairy) Woodpeckers
  • Tufted Titmice (Titmouses?)
  • Dark-eyed Juncos
  • Black-capped Chickadees
  • Our dog Sandy (a Jack Russell/Chihuahua rescue, aka Jack Chi, aka Jackuahua
  • Our yard
  • And our cars (at least, I think that’s them under those mounds of snow)

Happy Spring, New England!

Happy Spring, New England. First, this is not a passive voice. Next, I am writing in an active voice. Therefore, my SEO will stop telling me how to write. Furthermore, these sentences are also shorter than twenty words. Rather, stop being so controlling. I will keep going while until you turn green. I can’t believe this is still orange. 1. Definitely not just you, April. In fact, they’ve been a bit chippy at the feeders too – lots of posturing & chasing each other off. Looking out at the fresh snow currently falling, I’m a bit grumpy too…

      1. We had some more at the weekend. It’s unusual for us to have one lot of snow as heavy as we did, but a second lot of 3 or 4 inches is just unheard of.
