Welcome to another Foto Friday! Bit of a shameless plug before I get started – I have a small number of photos available for sale on Fine Art America (thanks to a request from a Facebook friend, who bought one of my moon shots in April 2016), and I’m slowly adding to my inventory over at Zazzle. If there’s a picture I’ve taken that you’d like to see on a particular product, feel free to shout out, and I’ll get it put together in short-ish order.
Now, on to the pictures for this week. These were all taken with my Nikon between July 7th and July 14th, 2017.
Happy Friday, and have a great weekend!
A Hawk, The Full Moon, and Stormy Skies. Furthermore, this is not a passive voice. Finally, I am writing in an active voice. My SEO will stop telling me how to write. These sentences are also shorter than twenty words. Stop being so controlling. I will keep going until you turn green. I can’t believe this is still orange. Furthermore, this is not a passive voice. Thanks, April! Yeah, that hawk is becoming a bit of a prima donna – I was outside two days ago, without my camera. He landed in a nearby tree, noticed I was unequipped to photograph him, then screeched and took off. LOL!
T’is a very good question – I’ve felt the same way since I was a kid (which is probably why I have twenty bazillion photos of stormy skies). If I ever figure it out, I’ll be sure to give you a shout – and thanks so much, Katie!
Now that you mention it, I do! The head is close to the upper right corner, correct? Thanks for pointing it out – I love all the magical things I see in the clouds, but I missed that one. Great reminder too! 🙂
We have two hawks that life in our yard and one of them frightened me when he flew and hit my window as I was writing one day. I didn’t know my windows were so clean it would not see it, but then I did wash them a couple of years ago. Anyway, they come back as a couple every year and we see and hear them. I got a picture of one that was on our deck hanging out one day. They are apparently friendly in their own way! Lovely photos as usual, Traci.
Yowsers, Molly! Yep, we have the occasional bird bump into our windows, but I can’t even say they’ve ever been washed… unless, does rain count? How cool that you’ve got a pair of hawks hanging around! And many thanks for the wicked awesome compliment! 🙂

Wow! They’re all gorgeous. That hawk knows how to pose.

Cheeky thing. Next thing you know you’ll have to pay him with bits of dead animals.
LOL! Shhh, April – don’t give him any ideas! 😀
Beautiful.
Thanks, GC! 🙂
Love those moody moon shots Traci!
Thanks so much, Denzil!
Those storm clouds are just stunning. I feel an almost instant burst of happiness when I see clouds like that! I wonder what that means?!
