I’ve seen the Get to Know Me tag a number of places, and always planned to jump in eventually. Then when I saw it again on Ritu’s blog, at about the same time Suzie Speaks re-shared a post called, How to Create a Successful About Page, I figured it was high time I did both.
Oh, and in the process, I decided that after over two years of doing Microblog Monday posts, I should rename my Musing Monday category accordingly (with the proper credit to the creator of #MicroblogMondays, of course).
Get To Know Me Tag
0. Share your profile picture if you have one.
1. Who are you named after? To the best of my knowledge, I’m not named after anyone in particular. However, the “i” instead of the usual “y” or “ey” guaranteed I never found my name on a pencil.
2. Do you like your handwriting? I’m not sure it actually qualifies as handwriting…
3. What is your favorite lunch meat? Italian roast beef, thinly sliced.
4. Longest relationship? 30 years this July (28 of those married).
5. Do you still have your tonsils? Yep.
6. Would you bungee jump? If someone I lovedwould die if I didn’t…
7. Do you untie your shoes when you take them off? Nope.
8. Favorite ice cream? Tie between Butter Crunch and Vienna Mocha Chunk.
9. What is the first thing you notice about people? Their attitude (especially since I’m usually busy trying to avoid eye contact – dang you, social anxiety! *shakes fist*).
10. Football or baseball? Football AND basketball, of course.
11. What color pants are you wearing? Blue and white checkered pajama pants.
12. Last thing you ate? Peanut butter toast and coffee (breakfast of champions!).
13. If you were a crayon, what color would you be? This question hurts my brain. What’s the color for complicated?
14. Favorite smell? Too many to pick just one, but my favorite at the moment is the coffee in my cup.
15. Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone? Physical Therapist (had to cancel an appointment because of the Nor’easter).
16. Hair color? Brown with more than a touch of grey.
17. Eye color? Blue.
18. Favorite foods to eat? Again, too many to pick, but usually something I didn’t have to cook rates pretty high. Oh, and chocolate.
19. Scary movies or happy endings? While happy is good, scary is better!
20. Last movie you watched? Technically Deadpool, but it was far from my first viewing. Last movie I watched for the first time was Doctor Strange.
21. Favorite Holiday? Halloween!
22. Beer or Wine? Guinness!
23. Night owl or early bird? Who? π
24. Favorite day of the week? Friday, because it’s the start of hubby’s weekend.
25. Which three of your favorite bloggers you would like to know more about? G’ah, that’s a tough one – I hate to put anyone one the spot. I’d rather just leave it to whoever feels inspired to do their own tag post.
26. Who were the latest three people to follow your blog (link to their about page)? Another tough one, because there are a number of different ways to follow my blog. So, here are three of the more recent people who started following my blog (in no particular order) –
Melanie from The Wandering Darlings

That does it for me! Feel free to jump on it, and be sure to shout out in your post, or in my comment section, so I can check it out!
Oh, and if you have a moment before you run, please take a peek at my newly revamped About Me, and let me know what you think.
Last thing, here’s the graphic I created for today’s post, using a picture I took on February 2nd.
“Not sure what #MicroblogMondays is?
Read the inaugural post which explains
the idea and how you can participate too.”

Wonderful answers Traci! Feel like I know you that little bit more now!!! β€
Yay! Thanks so much, Ritu, and extra appreciation for inspiring me to finally do this. π
Ha! No worries! I’m the same… I want to do it but take ages procrastinating…. then I do 3 in one go lol!
So much fun! I think of you as one of those marbled crayons, why limit yourself to one color when you can have so many at once depending on how you shift the crayon? There you go! π Strangely, my last movie was The Lego Batman movie with my dad, which is not a movie I would typically go see but it was SO FUNNY and smart. I was pleasantly surprised. Thanks for sharing so much about yourself!
Yes! Marbled crayon for the win! Thanks for the suggestion, Jess! Love the idea of seeing the Lego Batman movie with your dad – I saw the trailer recently, and it’s on my list to check out some time. Glad to hear it was awesome!
Yay! Thanks for the tag, Traci. Loved reading your answers! Oh, this is going to be fun ha ha π
Wicked awesomeness, Shelley! Can’t wait to see your answers, and you’re very welcome! π
I laughed aloud at your handwriting answer. These are actually good questions that give you insight into a person — like the untying shoes one.
Thanks, Mel! It’s one of the better questionnaires I’ve seen floating around, which is one of the reasons I finally gave in. π
One day we should meet, Traci. And, hopefully, I will have some Belgian chocolate with me! π Where in New England are you located?
That would be wicked cool, Liesbet – both the meeting, and the chocolate! π I’m in the Seacoast New Hampshire area.
Our “home base” is Newburyport, MA. We’re planning another visit there in May. π
Coolness! I grew up in Magnolia, MA and we drive right through Newburyport (on 95, of course) on our way down to visit family. I believe it’s only about 40 minutes from us. π
Oh fun! I am saving this to do next month! I always like getting to know people with questions like these. π
Awesome, Risa! Be sure to tag me when you do, and I’ll keep my eyes open for your result. π
This was great way of knowing you more in person. I identify with you as to first notice the attitude of a person since I also try to avoid eye contact and more so if the person is from the other gender. I would be red if I was a crayon since i like all things red. You show me plenty of things and I won’t be able to decide which one to buy, you show the same things in red and I will buy all of them if my finances might allow π
Thanks so much, Anamika! That’s an excellent point about wanting something because of the color – if it were possible, my entire house would be cobalt blue!
So much fun to know you. I love your eye color. It’s gorgeous. In India,, most people have black or brown eyes so I have always been fascinated by lighter colors. π
Thanks, Parul! Appreciate the compliment and your visit. π
This was interesting to read. I feel the same way about social anxiety!
Thanks for dropping by, Kamika!
