Almost time to go for another spin! The second of three Mercury Retrograde phases in 2017 arrives on August 12th and lasts until September 5th. Although technically, we actually have three and a half this year, since the last of 2016 overlapped into the first week of January. It starts in the sign of Virgo and ends in Leo. The Pre-Shadow started on July 24th and the Post-Shadow will end on September 19th (click HERE to find out more about the Shadow period).
What does this mean for you? Since my astrology skills are still rusty, I turned to other places on the interwebz for answers.
Here’s a bit from an article written by Maria DeSimone called Mercury Retrograde: Back to the Drawing Board. Check out the article for more details on how your sign will be specifically affected (for example, part of the Leo forecast says, “…this will be an ideal time to figure out a way to overhaul your budget …”).
Mercury is at it again! He’s getting ready to turn retrograde on August 12, 2017, at 11 degrees of Virgo — and will not go direct until September 5 at 28 degrees of Leo. This summer retrograde has a distinct vibe connected to getting our work and health in order.
Although you’ll feel more like lying in the sun and playing (it IS summer after all!), the truth is, there will be at least one significant assignment that requires your careful revision. Polish it up because it truly has an opportunity to shine by the time Mercury turns direct in late Leo.
During this Mercury Retrograde you might also reconnect with old colleagues or people who worked for you at one time. Lastly, if your health care protocol needs tweaking, this will be your opportunity to get on the right track!
She also has some great information and suggestions in her article Mercury Retrograde Dos and Don’ts – Keep moving forward while Mercury moves backward. I highly recommend checking it out.
Here’s the graphic I created for the occasion, using a photograph kindly provided by NASA (see the original here). Happy spinning!
I stepped out late last night to see if I could see any shooting stars. My youngest was with me and it was a great Mom/Son moment. We didn’t see any shooting stars, but they were brilliant and it was so clear you could see quite a few. It was awesome! Our world is incredible, don’t you think?
That’s definitely an awesome moment, Lisa! And yes, our world is filled with amazing things. ❤️
Is this why I haven’t slept since 12th Aug?! Shall I expect insomnia until 5th Sept ha x
LOL! No worries, Hayley – I shook my magic eight ball, and asked if you’d get any sleep in the coming weeks, and it said –
