MM – Brewing time

Last Monday, I whined…, err, wrote about my frustration with my plot difficulties. In a beautiful show of synchronicity, my FB newsfeed this week has been full of things related to my story (the Akashic Records, Technomancy, and the veil thinning, to name a few). While I enjoyed my little pity party (because it’s not a party without tons of chocolate and vodka), it’s time to stop moping and start brewing.

To kick things off, I’m doing a Dark Moon ritual tonight. I will follow it with some serious, scheduled, butt-in-chair-social-media-muted time. This is the ritual (something I already posted back in June) –

Dark Moon Ritual Brewing Time

What’s your favorite (witchy or non-witchy) writing ritual?

#MicroblogMondays

Need: cauldron; paper and pencil; small glass of water; Obsidian; matches. Write your Dark Moon intention on the paper. Hold it in your right hand and visualize the intention coming to pass. When you have a strong image in your mind, carefully light the paper. Lower it into the cauldron. After it has burned away completely, slowly pour the water over the ash. Then empty the cauldron near a tree or bush. Keep the Obsidian nearby for the month. Every time you touch it, visualize your intent.

    1. Hi Suzy! Thanks for dropping by. Sometimes, the best way to make your intent clear is to start – hope to see you on the NaNoWriMo site next month. πŸ™‚

  1. Hey Tracy, visualisations are powerful…! My belief is that rituals like these are designed to allow us to create astrong visual image of our intent in our mind and then follow it up regularly…

I don’t have a writing ritual yet but will soon do coz I have signed up for NaNoWriMo… πŸ™‚

  2. Here’s to synchronicity! Wishing you fulfilled intentions this month — I know you can do it. πŸ™‚ *hugs*

  3. Setting down my cup of coffee. Or staring at a river app for 2 minutes. (It’s… just a video of a river and running water.)

    Hope the ritual works!

    1. Ooo, the river app sounds like a great, peaceful way to quiet my brain. I’m lucky – the window near my desk has a beautiful view of the woods around our house, and staring out from time to time helps. Thanks for the suggestions, Mel. πŸ™‚
