Since the name Monday came from the word Monenday, which translates to Day of the Moon, I figured it was a good excuse to share a bunch of moon snaps here, instead of on my most recent Foto Friday. Come to think of it, I’ve used that excuse once or twice before. *grin*
These were all taken on the 13th (night of the actual full moon, and ridiculously overcast in my neck of the woods) and the 14th of December, 2016. Also, as I do on Fridays, I’ve embedded the pictures in the post, and put them together as part of a gallery slide show. If you have a moment, please shout out in the comment section and let me know which format you prefer for viewing photographs (bonus appreciation points if you mention why you like it better).
Happy Day of the Moon!

Day of the Moon. First, this is not a passive voice. Next, I am writing in an active voice. Therefore, my SEO will stop telling me how to write. Furthermore, these sentences are also shorter than twenty words. Rather, stop being so controlling. Especially since most of the sentences in this post are not mine. I will keep going while until you turn green. Day of the Moon. I can’t believe this is still orange. Finally, it has turned. Success! First, this is not a passive voice. Thanks, Em! It’s safe to say I’ve taken hundreds of shots of the moon since I got this camera in February, and I’m still learning. Can’t wait to see your moon photos!
I love the moon shots! I know my daughter would too, if she was awake. She loves the moon and all things round, that even remotely resemble a moon-shape. LOL. I suck at moon shots, but I’m also just using my phone.
On my laptop, I like the bigger pictures. Not sure what they’d all look like on my phone though.
Gorgeous! I loved #4 and #7 best, although it’s hard to pick favorites. We had ridiculous snow the night of the actual full moon, so we missed it almost entirely (one time it peeked out from the snow clouds all hazy-like). I LOVE your moon shots! Happy day of the moon to you, too.
I liked the gallery! I loved your photos, particularly the ones with the stark tree branches under or in front of the moon. The close up of the moon is fantastic though. You must have a good zoom lens! (And like Em, I am still learning my new camera, and haven’t even tried moon shots. So you’re inspiring me to try one of these nights.
I am constantly amazed by how good the zoom is that came standard with my camera! And thanks, Mali – can’t wait to see you post some of your own moon shots!
Beautiful shots, Traci. I like the fourth one somewhat more than the rest, except may be the last one. Hmm… That one is superb too.
I think I prefer the individual photo layout (embedded) rather than the gallery. In the gallery, the stunning beauty of the pictures is lost until and unless you click and enlarge them. But the embedded ones awe you the minute you open the page and view them π

Lovely pics as always.
I am so hit or miss on my moon shots. It’s on the list to learn to get better with my camera!
Love all the ones through the branches. Just lovely.

Beautiful!
Thanks, Journeywoman!

Thanks so much for the feedback, Heather – bonus appreciation points are in the mail! π
Yeah, if it weren’t for my spiffy camera, my pictures probably wouldn’t even be moon shaped.
These are gorgeous! Impressive!
I like the non-gallery version personally – big photos without having to click. #lazy
Thanks so much, Stephanie!
LOL! Love your hash tag – oh, and your bonus appreciation points are in the mail. π

I think I prefer embedded in the post. They’re gorgeous photos.
Thanks, Mel – on both counts.
