For the last Monday post of 2015, I did a graphic with a Neil Gaiman quote. Since the photo was taken with my old camera, I decided to do an updated version for this final #MicroblogMonday post of 2016.
Here’s to hoping we all make some glorious mistakes in the coming year.
“Not sure what #MicroblogMondays is?
Read the inaugural post which explains
the idea and how you can participate too.”

Making mistakes 2016. “I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something. So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life. Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, Do it. Make your mistakes, next year and forever.” ~ Neil Gaiman, 2011. First, this is not a passive voice. Next, I am writing in an active voice. Therefore, my SEO will stop telling me how to write. How inspiring! Okay, I’m off to start making mistakes. (Cos, I don’t have to wait till the New Year, do I?)
I hope not, Mali, since I’m already doing it to! *grin*
One of my all time favourite Gaiman quotes.
Mine too, Em. π
Here, here! I’ll toast to that!
*clinks glass with Stephanie* Cheers!
I loved this the first time and love it all over again. This is an idea I can get behind π
Same here, Mel! π
How I love that quote, last year and this one. I took a couple risks in 2016 but here’s to taking even more and doing the things you always wanted to do but have been too afraid of mistakes to actually do them. To more mistakes and glorious risks! π
Here, here, Jess! π
