The NaNoWriMo countdown is on! One week from today, in addition to being Halloween and Samhain, it will be National Novel Writing Month Eve. I’ve done it every year since 2007, and crossed the finish line seven times. This year, even though I’m a big fan of pantsing, I might just give plotting a go. Be sure to shout out in the comment section if you’re also crazy enough to try to write a novel in 30 days.
Which reminds me – since I’m still hobbling around, I better make sure I add chocolate, vodka, and coffee to the shopping list, so my family won’t forget.

the idea and how you can participate too.”

NaNoWriMo Countdown. First, this is not a passive voice. Next, I am writing in an active voice. Therefore, my SEO will stop telling me how to write. Furthermore, these sentences are also shorter than twenty words. Rather, stop being so controlling. Especially since most of the sentences in this post are not mine. I will keep going while until you turn green. Two Hard Drives Revisited. I can’t believe this is still orange. Finally, it has turned. Success! First, this is not a passive voice. Sounds like you’ll have the essentials covered! I heard about Samhain from a friend from Philly, but it’s pretty much unknown here in Arizona. I guess it’s an east coast thing-? We do borrow “Día de Los Muertos” from Mexico, though.
Funny – I would’ve thought there’d be enough pagan-folk around the Arizona area for it to be somewhat well known. Of course, I sometimes take for granted that everyone in my area is familiar with witches and Wiccan holidays, then I bump into someone in the grocery store who notices my pentacle and looks at me like I have three heads. 😀
Ah, the end of October, such a fun time. Good luck to you (and the vodka and coffee and chocolate) for NaNoWriMo, that sounds like a great challenge! I thought about doing it, but it is SO HARD during the school year to get extensive writing done, and like a crazy person I’m pursuing National Board Certification and so have to spend all my writing time on breaking down two 15 minute videos of me teaching and all the whys, and then all the ways I am a teacher leader and how that helps my students. NaNoWriMo sounds both more fun and more hair-tearing, so I salute you and defer for another year! 🙂
Yikes, Jess! I’m exhausted just reading about your upcoming month! Sending you lots of positive vibes for the NBC.
Good luck, Traci. 🙂
Thanks, Shail! 😀
