Hubby put together a brand new computer for me today (thanks hon!), so while I’m busy getting things situated, I’m doing another #MicroblogMondays style post. Below is my Facebook status update from June 11th –
As many of you are aware, I’m a huge NaNoWriMo proponent. If it weren’t for the gang at the Office of Letters and Light, I wouldn’t have six novels sitting on my hard drive.
Now I need to get those rough drafts whipped into shape, and I believe I have some great motivation. The Clarion Foundation is doing their sixth annual Write-a-Thon, starting later this month. Here is their blurb –
“The Write-a-Thon officially starts at the same time as the Clarion Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers’ Workshop at UC San Diego. From June 21 to August 1, 2015, Write-a-Thon writers and sponsors can tap into the creative energy of the renowned six-week Clarion workshop, encourage this year’s Clarion students, and help secure the financial future of Clarion, all without leaving home. Sign up now to embark on a six-week writing journey alongside the 2015 students-in-residence, supported by friends, family and fans!”
My goal is to completely rewrite my first Maeve Sawyer story “Wrecked” by the time this is done. I’m hoping to also raise some money for the very worthy Clarion Foundation while I do. Please check out my page, donate a little if you can, and be prepared to shower me with chocolate, vodka, and coffee (not necessarily in that order) as I undertake this project!

Good luck!
Thanks! π
How about chocolate vodka (do they make such a thing?) in your coffee? Then you can have all three at once. π
Go, you!
Ooo, that’s something to consider – thanks for the idea!
*runs off in search of chocolate vodka*
Cheering you on! Sending lots of good thoughts for the editing process.
Thanks so much, Mel! Good thoughts are greatly appreciated!
