I never really watched Mike & Molly, but I saw this clip called, “Writer’s Remorse” floating around the interwebz ages ago. Now that I’m knee-deep for the bazillionth time in revisions on my novel, “Wrecked” it popped in my brain again. Switch the Wild Turkey for Boru, and this could almost be me right now. *grin*
Do you have any favorite memes, videos, or quotes about writer’s remorse (or about writing in general)? Be sure to commiserate in the comment section!

Writer’s Remorse. I never really watched Mike & Molly, but I saw this clip called, “Writer’s Remorse” floating around the interwebz ages ago. Therefore, my SEO will stop telling me how to write. Furthermore, these sentences are also shorter than twenty words. Rather, stop being so controlling. Especially since most of the sentences in this post are not mine. I will keep going while until you turn green. I can’t believe this is still orange. Finally, it has turned. Success! Funny!
I don’t actually subscribe to this, but I find it super funny: “Write Drunk; Edit Sober.”

And congrats on winning my music contest last week! You really know your Na Nas 🙂
Love that one too, Lori! The one time I wrote drunk, there was nothing coherent to edit, so yeah – funny in theory! 😀
Thanks for giving me bragging rights!
Holy Cow! Your book can’t be that bad. And on a side note, no wonder Molly was having a tough time, she was pairing her remorse with whiskey. To feel better about your writing always go for tequila 😉 Thanks for the laugh Traci. I’m rooting for you 🙂
Too funny, Diana! Any maybe that’s my problem – I’m a vodka girl. Thanks for being in my cheering section!
I like this quote from Hemingway: “There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.”
I did NaNo too a few years ago (took a peek at your Wicked link) and haven’t gone back to my finished work since.. I should.
Excellent quote, and one of my favorites as well (Facebook friends have shared it with me a number of times over the years – go figure *grin*). You really should go back and revisit your old NaNo, Risa – I bet you have a hidden gem there.
Oh, I loved this clip! I have no wisdom or other resources, other than that Stephen King’s thoughts on writing are amazing, and how awful it is to edit and feel like your book is crap. But, Carrie was fished out of the garbage by his wife, thank goodness…so great company there. 🙂
I love Stephen King’s writing stuff! Thanks for the reminder, Jess! 😀
Too funny!! All the best with editing your book. It’s quite exciting – and also at times scary – to bring something out into the world, I think!!
Thanks, Modern Gypsy!
Mike and Molly always bring Roseanne to mind. Roseanne had designs of becoming a writer too. I don’t think she ever got as far as Molly. 😉
I love the Write Drunk, Edit Sober quote. I’ve seen it on totebags all over the city
Congratulations and good luck!
Oh wow, I’d completely forgotten that about Roseanne (I actually did watch her show for many years, unlike M&M). I love that quote too – thanks so much, Middle Girl!
Cute video!
I can’t think of a quote, but today on Twitter someone was mentioning being on revision #40 of her book, in case that makes you feel any better. https://www.twitter.com/doorsixteen/status/775405278866972672
Oh, wow – yep, that definitely makes me feel better, Stephanie, Thanks! LOL!
That was cute. I have seen the show a couple of times. Btw that quote is so cool good!
I don’t think I ever caught a full episode, but I plan to one of these days. Thanks, Parul!
