As I mentioned in my quick, one photo post on October 2nd, I was able to get outside on October 1st for the first time since June to spend some time with La Luna. I shared ten of the almost 150 shots on October 5th, (and to be fair, a number of those 150 look like I haven’t taken pictures in a while…lol), then on October 12th I posted twelve others. Last week, I shared seven more photos and today I have the last set of photos (6 more) before I hopefully get to take some of the second full Moon of October when it appears on Halloween/Samhain in less than a week!
This time again, since all of these were taken (using my my Nikon and tripod), in my Durham New Hampshire yard, I’m going to just mostly skip the captions and let the photos speak for themselves. Also, the differences between shots comes from adjusting the zoom & exposure for each, not from filtering. It’s always amazing to me what a huge difference a little zoom in/out, or exposure step up/down makes in what appears in my lens.
And as I said in that first post about the Harvest Moon, I took a short video to show how cool the clouds looked going across the moon, and planned to turn it into a gif (since the sound on the video is only me and hubby chatting about stuff…lol). It turned out a bit shakier than I’d hoped, but I’m including it anyway, and will give it another go next time we have a full moon with clouds in the sky (and given New England weather, I don’t think I’ll have too wait long).
Speaking of gifs, I wanted to quickly mention to my Hive friends to be on the lookout for a new gif contest coming up on Wednesday. This time, instead of spreading the word about @stellabelle awesomesauce Join Hive contest (you can see her result post HERE), the theme will be the newly revamped and brilliantly renamed Word Press plugin, @exxp! You can find out more about how awesome this is either in their announcement post, or their new website, and be sure to keep your eyes open for the Twitter contest. And actually, now that I think about it, there’s no reason why my WordPress friends couldn’t join in as well… 😊
Now for the last set of photos of the Full Harvest Moon on October 1st 2020
And here’s the aforementioned promised gif…
Happy Moon Monday!

Love Photo 3. It’s crazy!
Those are all great, but my favourite is the first one.
