Happy Moon Monday! Last week at this time, the moon had been full for close to twelve hours, and given the weather, I didn’t think I’d have a chance to get any shots when she rose for the evening. Sadly I was correct, but unsadly (lol) the weather was fine the following evening, so I was able to get close to seventy shots of the mostly Full Moon on December 1st 2020, seven of which I’m sharing for today.
Another unsadly thing – when we woke up the next morning (December 2nd), the moon was still visible above the trees outside our bedroom window. I managed to run out and get a bunch of shots of the mourning moon in the morning, as well as the sun coming up on the other side of the yard. I’ll share some of those shots next week.
Also, these aren’t filtered in any way. I’ve just reduced the file size, and in some cases tweaked the exposure and/or sharpness a bit. The difference in the sky color comes from zooming in and out, and bumping the exposure up and down. And as almost always, these were taken with my my Nikon affixed to my tripod), in my Durham New Hampshire yard. Oh, and it was around 10pm when I captured these.
Now on to the photos!

Speaking of witch which…
The clouds have come out very well, but, it’s the close up that I love.
You get such amazing shots! I try but I only have the camera on my phone. It may be time for me to invest in a nice camera! ๐
I love that you hustle your bustle to get these amazing shots.
Beautiful shots of the moon.
