As I said in my original post, Mother Nature kindly arranged for a mostly cloudless sky for the Halloween Blue Hunter’s Full Moon on October 31st, but also allowed Jack Frost out to play a bit early, so the urge to hanging around outside with my camera (the temp was about 26F/-3C) wasn’t terribly strong. Still I managed to get outside a few times over the course of the evening, and ended up with almost 150 shots – I shared my first set on November 2nd , and had nine more for the second set on November 9th. For today, I have ten shots for my third set of Halloween moon photos.
As always, these were taken with my my Nikon affixed to my tripod), in my Durham New Hampshire yard, and while I’ve edited for size and such, the differences between shots comes from adjusting the zoom & exposure for each, not from filtering. It’s always amazing to me what a huge difference a little zoom in/out, or exposure step up/down makes in what appears in my lens (which almost always looks different than what I see in the sky and computer – the constant challenge in La Luna photoshoots!).
Here’s my third set of the Halloween Blue Hunter’s Full Moon October 31st 2020

Speaking of witch which…
Awesome pics, Traci! You definitely have a great eye!
All the photos are great (as they always are) but that one with the branches and the moon is brilliant.
You know how I love the close ups, but my favourite today was the second one. Those branches make a perfect frame.
