Mostly Silent Sunday - Woodpecker Pictures from April 13 2019 (#SteemBloPoMo Day 14)

Yesterday morning, as hubby was making an awesome brunch for us (bacon, eggs fried in said bacon grease, and toasted Portuguese muffins on the side), I wandered back into our room and noticed one of our cats staring intently out the window. Now granted, he stares with just as much focus when a gentle breeze blows through the tree leaves, but I took a peek just in case. Sure enough, a Pileated Woodpecker was hard at work getting his own non-bacon (therefore less awesome) breakfast.

Even with my tripod, the shots aren’t the sharpest, thanks to this bird’s frenetic nature, and the window glass. However, I did manage to capture some relatively clear ones, and a short video (no audio, as the only thing you could hear was me snuffling with my seasonal allergies) as well.
