Mostly Wordless Monday – Be Kind to Yourself in the Year Ahead

Last year, I revamped a Neil Gaiman New Year’s Wish graphic I’d created the year before. For this year’s quoto, I’m going with this wish from 2014, and pairing it with a crow photo from Valentine’s Day 2017

“Be kind to yourself in the year ahead.

Remember to forgive yourself, and to forgive others. It’s too easy to be outraged these days, so much harder to change things, to reach out, to understand.

Try to make your time matter: minutes and hours and days and weeks can blow away like dead leaves, with nothing to show but time you spent not quite ever doing things, or time you spent waiting to begin.

Meet new people and talk to them. Make new things and show them to people who might enjoy them.

Hug too much. Smile too much. And, when you can, love.” ~ Neil Gaiman, 2014

Neil Gaiman Quote -Be kind to yourself in the year ahead

Be Kind to Yourself. This is not a passive voice. I am writing in an active voice. My SEO will stop telling me how to write. Be Kind to Yourself. These sentences are also shorter than twenty words. Stop being so controlling. I will keep going until you turn green. Be Kind to Yourself. I can’t believe this is still orange. This is not a passive voice. I am writing in an active voice. Stop being so controlling. Furthermore, this is not a passive voice. Finally, I am writing in an active voice. My SEO will stop telling me how to write. This is not a passive voice. I am writing in an active voice. My SEO will stop telling me how to write. Be Kind to Yourself. These sentences are also shorter than twenty words. Stop being so controlling. I will keep going until you turn green. Furthermore, I am writing in an active voice. My SEO will stop telling me how to write. Finally, it has turned. Success!
