One of the things I like so much about doing NaBloPoMo and HiveBloPoMo is that it “forces” me to find something to post every day, which means I finally have the chance/excuse to go through the bazillions of photos I take, but never end up posting. I mean, I still have a bunch of photos & videos of a rare bird siting in my yard from June 2020! And in cases like today, when I’m running short on time after editing my pictures of La Luna two nights after the Crow Moon (the bookend to my post to kick off the month, The Night before the Full Crow Moon), rather than putting off for another day when I have more time to do captions & such, I give myself permission to…
One last quick thing before I get to the pictures – I’ve reduced the file size, and in some cases tweaked the exposure and/or sharpness a bit, but I haven’t filtered most of these, other than the instances where I mention I’ve dome some extra work to them. For the most part, the difference in the color of the moon (and sometimes the clouds around it) comes from zooming in and out, and bumping the exposure up and down, not from tinting it. It still amazes (and frustrates…lol) me that what I see in the sky isn’t always what turns up on my camera. These were taken with my my Nikon affixed to my tripod), in my Durham New Hampshire yard.
