For the past couple of years, I’ve done a quote challenge for the month of May, in honor of National Photography Month. I thought it would be fun to do a witch quote challenge for the next four Witchy Wednesdays.
The long and short of it – leave a comment below with a witch related quote, and I’ll pair it with one of my photographs, and post the result the following week. It can be a phrase from your favorite witchy author, a short spell or ritual, or a saying that really resonates with you. If you’re a blogger, be sure to leave a link as well, so I can give you a shout out. If you can’t think of anything this week, no worries – I’ll post results and ask for more quotes each Wednesday in May
To get the ball rolling, here’s one of my favorite quotes from Llewellyn author Ted Andrews, from his amazing book, Animal Speak, paired with a crow shot I snagged last week. Can’t wait to see what you, my dear readers, come up with!
“Wherever crows are, there is magic. They are symbols of creation and spiritual strength. They remind us to look for opportunities to create and manifest the magic of life. They are messengers calling to us about the creation and magic that is alive within our world everyday and available to us.” ~ Ted Andrews, Animal Speak (page 132)
“Dance, dance, where ever you may be
I am the Lord of the Dance, you see!
I live in you, and you live in Me
And I lead you all in the Dance, said He!”
~Lord of the Dance
“Magic is natural.” ~Scott Cunningham
Excellent choices, Thora! Thanks!
I did not have to believe. I only had to wonder. -Patricia Monagh
Awesome – thanks, Bee!
“A witch ought never to be frightened in the darkest forest, Granny Weatherwax had once told her, because she should be sure in her soul that the most terrifying thing in the forest was her.”
― Terry Pratchett, Wintersmith
LOVE Sir Terry! Great choice, Duette!
Thank you, Traci! I love what you did with the quote!
Yay! I’m so glad! It’s one of the few I have featuring our eldest – I need to convince her to be my model again now that the weather is nice. 😀

Nice! 😀
Witchy quotes made me think of Harry Potter! Here’s one:
“Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it.” – Professor Dumbledore
😀
Harry Potter quotes are awesome! 😀
