Pictures of the Waxing Gibbous Moon, three nights before full

Stop the presses.

I actually took some NEW pictures yesterday!

Yes, I waited until it was 23F/-5C to wander the yard with my camera. Smart girl, eh? 😂

In my defense, I’d stepped outside around 4pm to bring some reusable grocery bags back to our car, after the eldest had done a bit of shopping. When I saw the almost full moon rising up over the trees, I couldn’t resist. Something about the sunset reflecting off the trees, and the bright white of the moon, sent me scrambling for my camera & tripod!

I only managed to last about 15 minutes, but I got close to 50 shots during that time. Here are the best of the bunch.

Fingers crossed there’s a break in the snowstorm heading our way this weekend, so that maybe I can get some shots of the Super Blood Wolf Moon!
