Sepia Saturday – Magnolia Pier

Sepia Saturday is another one of those hash tags that I’ve been meaning to give a go, and today I’ve finally done it! I was partially inspired by the fact that in my hometown, the Magnolia pier is in the process of being completely replaced. It got me a bit nostalgic, so I thought that giving some of my most recent pictures (June 2017) from that area the sepia treatment would be fun.

To get the effect, I used the editing feature on PicMonkey, and also added the “Dark Edges” filter because I thought it added to the old style atmosphere.

Oh, and don’t miss the post that hash tag host, @old-guy-photos did this week, called Have a Super Sepia Saturday!!!. I especially like his old timey sign shot.

Now here are my Sepia Saturday shot of the Magnolia Pier!

Down Shore road a bit, this is all that remains of a salt water pool from the 1930s.
