Last Saturday into Sunday, we had a Nor’easter move through our area. While it was weaker than predicted, and the rain-snow-rain-snow mix only dropped behind two inches of snow instead of the eight to ten predicted, it still left a chilly mark on the trees that’s lasted through to today! So for today’s Thursday Tree Love, I thought I’d share ten shots of some snow dusted trees.
I actually went out yesterday to take some pictures, but since the sky was overcast and grey (as it has been essentially since the storm), the shots all had a somewhat depressing monochromatic tone to them. I’d considered editing them into black and white shots, to hopefully make the bits of snow still clinging to the trees pop a bit. However, Mother Nature kindly provided a bit of sunshine and blue sky this morning, so I headed out after hubby went to work to grab a couple dozen new captures, and picked the ten best from the bunch.
And if you want to join in the Tree love fun, it’s really easy – here’s the description from her latest post today, called #ThursdayTreeLove – 99

Oh, and almost forgot – these were taken in my Durham, NH yard, using my my Nikon affixed to my tripod.

Speaking of witch which…
I love the shapes of the naked trees, and the snow looks beautiful. (Easy to say when I don’t have to deal with the cold! lol)
Bare and beautiful! We are in the warm 20s here so these images look absolutely wonderful!
These are all so beautiful and I love that you caught some close ups of the snow on the tree trunk. Lovely that looks. Thank you a ton for joining, Traci. The weather was sure hard but you got out to grab these shots and made us see the beauty that I wouldn’t where I am in India.
I am thankful that you are around with me on this bloghop. It has been lovely reconnecting with you in 2020. Thank you for your support. I hope to see you on the 100th edition on the 24th of this month.
