A few days ago over on Steemit, I posted a picture of a hawk that stopped in for a visit, and another Steemian mentioned she loved Turkey Vultures. Well, as many of you know, it just so happens I’ve had more than a few visits from these Golden Purifiers, and I told her I’d put together some of my shots. I also have a short, shaky, non-audio video of some of them flying around our house one afternoon in 2015.
Oh, and I’m going to be lazy and not caption these, because really – how many times can I say, “Turkey Vulture flying” and “Turkey Vulture looking at me like I’d make a tasty snack.” 😊
However, I will mention that all of these shots were taken by me between 2015 and 2017, in our Durham, New Hampshire yard. I think the very last photo is the only one I took from indoors – all the others I was outside for, and he/she/they seemed not bothered at all by my shutterbugging.
And while I really, really, REALLY wanted to upload this video clip to @dtube, the bandwidth fairies were cranky. Even though I tried multiple times yesterday afternoon, they just weren’t having it. So here it is on YuckTube –
