Hello and welcome to another of my weekly Tarot Tuesday posts! Before I begin, I wanted to mention that there’s a wicked amazing community on Steemit that also offers free weekly readings, and other cartomancy awesomeness. If you’d like to learn more, be sure to check out the intro post for the @steemittarot account (created to curate the community) at the link below.
You could also check out the feed over at @steemittarot or the hash tag #tarottuesday for other awesome Tarot posts from amazing Steemians. Additionally, there’s a weekly wrap-up post each Wednesday (although some weeks it’s more like Thursday…lol!) too, so you can find all the Tarot Tuesday offerings in one place.
Now, speaking of offerings, it’s time for mine!
Welcome to another free reading for Tarot Tuesday!
Here’s how I put this reading together each week –
I use my very old & extremely well-loved Universal Waite Smith Tarot Deck to draw the cards. Then, because the cards are definitely not ready for their closeup, I photograph the cards using my stand-in Radiant Deck. Oh, and yes – it’s a new picture of the back of the cards every week.
This is how the reading goes: pick a card that you’re drawn to (but if more than one strikes your fancy, pick two! In fact, I’ve had some people tell me they pick all three cards each week, and use this as a mini past/present/future reading) then scroll down a bit for the card reveal and my short interpretation of what to expect in the upcoming week.
Do you have your card (or cards) picked out? Then it’s time for the big reveal!
To make sure you don’t see the reveal before you picked your card, I’ve been using one of the bazillion infographics I’ve created over the years. This week, though, I’m using the graphic I created for a Mercury Retrograde post I meant to do back in July – I made this, then completely spaced actually doing the post! Think I can blame it on Mercury Retrograde…? 😂
Okay, so now it’s finally time for the big card reveal. Your message for this week is…
Could I have a drum roll, please & thank you…
This!
1. Eight of Swords
Time to get moving. You’re stuck. None of the choices available to you seem right, so you’ve stopped moving forward. You’re afraid that if you make the wrong one, you’ll get hurt. However if you stay put, the choices only get worse. Stop overthinking and take a step – yes, there might be a little owie, but soon you’ll be back on the right track, and the pain will be behind you. As the saying (which makes me sentimental for my hometown of Gloucester, MA) goes, it’s time to fish or cut bait.
2. The Star
Make a wish. You’ve been to hell and back, but now is the time to put that all behind you. While you can’t (and shouldn’t) erase all the memories of the bad times, it’s within your power to make a positive change for the future. Remember, sometimes luck ain’t enough, you’ve got to make your own breaks. Look at the twinkling light in the darkness, close your eyes, and see your wish as already manifested. Can’t find the light? Pick up the closest mirror – this card is also a reminder that the one who is responsible for bringing the most light into our lives is ourselves.
3. Knight of Wands
Charge ahead! You’re all fired up. It’s time to take action now, and go after this full tilt. You have the courage and the drive – just trust in yourself, and let your confidence inspire others to do the same. Need a little help lighting the flame? Cue up your favorite Roar-type song, give ’em your best Xena warcry, and let the battle begin!
Extra Tarot tidbit: The Eight of Swords was in the same position back in June, and the rest of the reading had a Wand and a Major (but in flipped positions). While I’m not sure of the significance, I thought I’d mention it anyway, in case it resonates for someone.
I hope you enjoyed your message, and you’re always welcome to shout out in the comment section to share your thoughts. Speaking of sharing, if you enjoyed this, please feel free to share. Bright blessings!
