Hello and happy Tarot Tuesday! No windstorm this week (well, not last night anyway – we did have some wicked gusts on Sunday, and for a moment I thought we’d miss recording part of the Patriots game!) so I’m (almost) on time for my 8am posting. 😊
So now to get on with your reading for the week ahead (staring today, October 23th 2018). As always, don’t worry if you don’t happen to catch it on the exact day – the message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here.
For those of you new to this, it works like so – pick a card that you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. Some folks pick all three cards each week, and use this as a past/present/future reading. After you’ve decided on your card(s), scroll down the page for the card reveal and message for the upcoming week.
And to make sure you don’t accidentally see the card faces before you’ve made your choice, I’m using a picture as a spacer/spoiler prevention. Since the Full Hunter’s Moon is tomorrow, I decided to go with this one that features one of my moon photos, from a post I did for Scott Cunningham’s birthday in June of 2017 –
Now time for your message reveal. Here are the card faces…
…and here’s my interpretations of each for this week.
1. Judgement
Forgive and move on. You’ve been carrying a heavy burden on your shoulders – you’re feeling guilty about something in your past, or you’re angry at something that happened to you. In either case, it’s time to leave those things in the past, allow your wounds to heal (rather than constantly reopening them), and use your experiences to help others overcome their burdens. In fact, your pain might lead you to an awakening, and a new calling which will put you in a position to be the voice for those who can’t speak. And remember, “when you lose small mind, you free your life.”
Tarot Tidbit: Judgement was last seen in the first position on February 27th 2018.
2. The Emperor
Father of all creation. This is the fundamental father – disciplined, stable, and the protector of all those he cares for. It’s now time time to take charge of things – handle those responsibilities you’ve let slide, structure your time more efficiently, and put up boundaries with people/situations who aren’t giving you the respect you deserve. Remember, sometimes it’s good to be king.
Tarot Tidbit: This is actually the first time for The Emperor card has shown up for a Tarot Tuesday and (according to my somewhat erratic records) there are still a few others that I haven’t drawn, like the King of Cups…hmmm, wonder if that’s going to invoke him for next week…😊
3. Three of Swords
Yikes! Every time I see this card as my daily, that’s the first word that pops into my head. Today is going to be a day of finding out things you really don’t want to hear, but in the end, they will be extremely healing. Like lancing a wound, you will get some pretty cutting truths, but at least you will finally have the facts, even if they aren’t the ones you want. Let the poison in your heart drain out, then you can begin to heal. Give yourself some time to wallow, listen to your favorite emo song (I usually go for Closure by Chevelle), then take a deep breath and move on.
Tarot Tidbit: The Three of Swords was last seen in the first position on April 3rd, 2018.
I hope your message resonated. If not, some people have found that rereading the message after a few days have passed helps to give it clarity. Also, you’re welcome to shout out in the comment section, and most definitely welcome to share this link around.
