Happy Tarot Tuesday! Below, you’ll find a free reading for the week of September 4th, 2018!
First though, I wanted to mention that we have a wicked amazing group of Tarot folks on Steemit. While you have to be a member of Steemit to comment and/or upvote, you don’t have to join to read posts.
For more info about the community, check out the intro post for the @steemittarot account (created to curate all the cartomancy offerings in the community) at this link – Introducing the Steemit Tarot community.
Now, here’s mine!
Welcome to another Tarot Tuesday!
To start, here’s a little background on how I put this reading together each week –
I use my very old & extremely well-loved Universal Waite Smith Tarot Deck to draw the cards. Then, because the cards are definitely not ready for their closeup, I photograph the cards using my stand-in Radiant Deck. Oh, and yes – it’s a new picture of the back of the cards every week.
Now, this is how the reading works – pick a card from the photo below that you are drawn to. If more than one strikes your fancy, go ahead and pick two! In fact, I’ve had some people tell me they pick all three cards each week, and use this as a mini past/present/future reading. After that, scroll down a bit for the card reveal and my short interpretation of what to expect in the upcoming week.
And to make sure you don’t see the reveal before you picked your card, I’ve been using one of the bazillion infographics I’ve created over the years as a kind of spacer/spoiler preventer. This is one I did for the Witchy Quote challenge I set for myself back in May of 2017 – my photography paired with the words of Patricia Monaghan –
Now here’s the big card reveal. Your message for this week is…
Could I get a drum roll, please & thank you…
This!
1. Eight of Wands
Fly like the wind. Nothing is holding you back now! You got your bow ready by laying the groundwork, and now you’re shooting like an arrow through the sky towards your goal. Things will happen very fast, but try to remember all the crazy busyness is leading you in a very positive direction. Remember what Merida (who knows a thing or two about arrows) said – “There are those who say fate is something beyond our command. That destiny is not our own, but I know better. Our fate lives within us. You only have to be brave enough to see it.” Stay focused on the bullseye, and you’ll hit your target in no time flat!
2. The Chariot
Find your middle ground. As Mr Miyagi said, “Better learn balance. Balance is key. Balance good, karate good. Everything good. Balance bad, better pack up, go home. Understand?” Think of the two horses in the card as being negative and positive emotions – if you focus solely on urging one ahead to win the race, you’ll soon be off-balance and your carriage will overturn. Keep a tight and balanced hold on your reins, harness your power, and gallop ahead to victory.
3. Ten of Cups
The Rainbow Connection. Sometimes it’s hard to remember the good things in our lives, because we spend so much time struggling to overcome the bad. This card is a good reminder that our happiness doesn’t come from money, it comes from within (although if anyone ever offers me a winning lottery ticket, I wouldn’t refuse – LOL!). Take a closer look at the people in this card – they’re wearing simple clothes, have a simple home, and they’re as blissed out as they come. Stop looking outside of yourself for your happiness, and start focusing on being happy. Listen to that little voice in your head, telling you that your dreams can become a reality. Like the song says about that voice – I’ve heard it too many times to ignore it / It’s something that I’m supposed to be /Someday we’ll find it, the rainbow connection, the lovers, the dreamers and me.”
I hope your message resonated for you. If not, maybe revisit what your message was towards the end of the week, and see if it makes more sense then. Also, you’re always welcome to shout out in the comment section, and definitely welcome to share this link around. Bright blessings!
