Happy Tarot Tuesday! Apologies for posting this a bit later than my usual 8am-ish (EST). We had a bit of a windstorm last night, which knocked our power out for hours overnight. Then my computer got cranky when I tried powering it up this morning (thanks again, hon for talking sense into it….LOL!). After that, Canva (where I create the graphics) kept crashing, and WordPress got wonky. Did Mercury go temporarily Retrograde when I wasn’t looking? 😊
At any rate, here is your reading for the week ahead (staring today, October 16th 2018). But as always, don’t worry if you don’t happen to catch it on the exact day – the message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here (even if it’s sometimes a bit late).
For those of you new to this, it works like so – pick a card that you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. Some folks pick all three cards each week, and use this as a past/present/future reading. After you’ve decided on your card(s), scroll down the page for the card reveal and message for the upcoming week.
And to make sure you don’t accidentally see the card faces before you’ve made your choice, I’m using a picture as a spacer/spoiler prevention. This one is a quoto (quote + photo = quoto) from a post I did in May of 2017 –
Now time for your message reveal. Here are the card faces…
…and here are my interpretations for this week.
1. Nine of Wands
You can do it. You’re tired. You’ve been pushing ahead as hard as you can, and you feel like you need a moment (or twenty) to catch your breath. Don’t worry – you’re almost there, and everything you’ve worked towards is about to come to fruition. Just give it one last, good push and remember to never give up.
Tarot Tidbit: The Nine of Wands was last seen in the second position on April 24th, 2018.
2. King of Wands
Take Charge Time. You have the intelligence, you have the determination. Now point that wand in the direction you want to go, and don’t even think about wavering from your path until you get to your destination. See that itty bitty little salamander in the bottom right corner of the card? Think of it as a baby dragon (since salamanders are associated with fire), who just needs encouragement and direction. Soon it will be a fiercesome force to be reckoned with, and you will be as formidable as the Mother of Dragons.
Tarot Tidbit: The King of Wands was last seen in the third position on June 5th, 2018.
3. Five of Cups
Snap out of it. You’ve had a run of bad luck, and it seems like every time you turn around, something (or someone) is knocking over a cup of your happiness. While you’re not wrong, you’re forgetting something important – you have plenty of other cups still standing. Focusing on what’s gone wrong, and what you’ve lost, won’t stand the cups back up again and make the water reappear. Voice your disappointment, give yourself a little time to wallow, then pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again.
Tarot Tidbit: The Five of Cups was last seen in the first position on May 22nd, 2018.

Perfect! I needed this message.
I picked the good news card! Yay me!
I noted the King facing the battle weary, having his back turned toward the wimpy moaner. *L* I picked the King and it all kinda’ falls into place with what is going on in my life right now.
Once again, dear Traci, the card I chose was not only perfect, but there is a line in the description that is literally the same as something I’m working on in the creative process! WOWSERS! Thank you so much for the reassurance! Cher xo
