Tarot Tuesday Reading for August 21st 2018

Welcome to my weekly Tarot Tuesday post for the week of August 21st 2018!

A quick aside – remember (because after weeks of mentioning it, I’m sure you’re all aware by now…lol) there’s a wicked amazing Tarot community on Steemit. For more info, check out the intro post for the @steemittarot account (created to curate all the cartomancy offerings in the community) at the link below.

Introducing the Steemit Tarot community!

Speaking of offerings, here’s mine!

Welcome to another Tarot Tuesday free reading!

This is how I put this reading together each week –

I use my very old & extremely well-loved Universal Waite Smith Tarot Deck to draw the cards. Then, because the cards are definitely not ready for their closeup, I photograph the cards using my stand-in Radiant Deck. Oh, and yes – it’s a new picture of the back of the cards every week.

Now, this is how the reading works. First, pick a card that you are drawn to (and if more than one strikes your fancy, go ahead – pick two! In fact, I’ve had some people tell me they pick all three cards each week, and use this as a mini past/present/future reading). After that, scroll down a bit for the card reveal and my short interpretation of what to expect in the upcoming week.

Okay, have you decided on your card or cards? Then it’s time for the big reveal!

And to make sure you don’t see the reveal before you picked your card, I’ve been using one of the bazillion infographics I’ve created over the years. Here’s one I did back in May of 2017 –

Quote Challenge Week 4

So now it’s finally time for the big card reveal. Your message for this week is…

Could I have a drum roll, please & thank you…

1. Wheel of Fortune

Lady Luck is smiling! Oh wait – that should be, “The Goddess Who Must Not Be Named.”*grin* Regardless, your luck is changing! Not only are good things heading your way, but this card is a great reminder that when things aren’t going as you hoped, just be patient for the wheel to turn back around again. Stay as positive as possible, focus on the bright side of things, then (and this is the most important thing), take some steps to make a change. Soon enough, the wheel will spin back around and you’ll appreciate being up all the more for having been down.

2. Strength

Believe in yourself. People have told you time and time again that you couldn’t do it alone, because you weren’t (strong, smart, tough) enough. Nonsense! As Glinda said to Dorothy, “You don’t need to be helped any longer. You’ve always had the power to go back to Kansas.” Okay, maybe a visit to Auntie Em and Uncle Henry’s farm isn’t on your wish list, but you have the courage and compassion to tame the beast of self-doubt.

3. Page of Cups

The Look of Love. I think of this as the Romeo card – time to fall in love, either with a person, a story idea, a creative project, or something of that sort. You may also be receiving a message of love from someone – maybe not as overt as flowers and chocolate, but something to show they care. It could be as simple as a bringing you a fresh cup of coffee, or sharing a Facebook meme, that shows they are thinking of you. Artistically, it’s that moment of sudden inspiration, when you see your project in a new light, or a bizarre-yet-brilliant idea presents itself – go with it.

Extra Tarot tidbit: Had another case of “card buddies” (a term I made up just this second to describe cards that previously showed up in readings together) this week. The last time the Page of Cups and Wheel of Fortune showed up, it was together in the reading for May 22nd, 2018. While the Page is in the same position, last time the Wheel was in the first spot. While I’m not sure of the significance, I thought I’d mention it anyway, in case it resonates for someone.

I hope you enjoyed your message, and you’re always welcome to shout out in the comment section to share your thoughts. Speaking of sharing, if you enjoyed this, please feel free to share. Bright blessings!
