Happy Tarot Tuesday! This reading is for the the week beginning today, December 18 2018. Before we begin, I just wanted remind everyone that even though both Christmas and New Year’s Day fall on Tuesdays, I still plan to have Tarot Tuesdays posted for both. So whenever you have a free moment to take a peek, come on by! 😊
Now, if this is your first visit to one of my Tarot posts, it works like this –
First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three!
After you’ve decided on your card or cards, scroll on down the page for the card reveal and message for the upcoming week.
Also, don’t worry if you don’t happen to see it on the exact day. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊
Here are the backs of the cards…remember, you can pick more than one if you feel called to…
To ensure you don’t accidentally see the card faces before you’ve made your choice, I’m using a picture as a kind of spacer/spoiler prevention. Here are a pair of graphics I created for the upcoming solstices – Yule (the winter solstice) here in the Northern Hemisphere, and Litha (the summer solstice) for our Southern Hemisphere friends.
Now for your message – the faces of the three cards are…
…and my interpretations of each are as follows…
1. Knight of Pentacles
Keep your focus. You were so excited and full of energy when you took the first step on your new journey. Now you feel like you’ve lost your steam, and all you’re doing is trudging along, without getting any closer to your goal. Don’t give up hope! Stick to your plan, stay focused on the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and remember what Amelia Earhart said – “The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity.”
Tarot Tidbit: The Knight of Pentacles was last spotted, also in the first position, way back on July 24th, 2018.
2. The Emperor
Father of all creation. This is the fundamental father – disciplined, stable, and the protector of all those he cares for. It’s now time time to take charge of things – handle those responsibilities you’ve let slide, structure your time more efficiently, and put up boundaries with people/situations who aren’t giving you the respect you deserve. Remember, sometimes it’s good to be king.
Tarot Tidbit: This is only the second time The Emperor card has shown up for a Tarot Tuesday reading, and the first time was it was also in the second position, back on October 23rd, 2018.
3. Six of Swords
Leaving ain’t easy. . While new beginnings are typically seen as something joyous and exciting. sometimes they just plain hurt. Even if you’re the one who made the decision to leave a negative situation (job, relationship, home), it doesn’t mean you aren’t struggling with missing the familiar, positive aspects of what you’re walking away from. But you know this move is logically the best thing for all concerned – keep sailing towards the calm waters ahead, and as Queen said, “Leavin’ home ain’t easy/But may be the only way.”
Tarot Tidbit: The Six of Swords was last spotted, in the second position, way back on March 20th, 2018.
I hope your message resonated for you. If not, maybe jot it down somewhere, then revisit it towards the end of the week and see if your perspective changes.

I appreciate your weekly readings. I try to get to it every week and make sure I share them on my Facebook page.
I found you in Sassy Witches Group, among other groups. Maybe it’s the Crow that called me to you. I feel lost without them, but no worries, they usually don’t leave me alone. Anyway I just wanted to leave a note saying I appreciate you and everything that you do for our community.
Thank you Chris! I really appreciate you shouting out, and your kind words. Happy to find another Crow fan as well – brightest of Solstice blessings to you!
