Tarot Tuesday reading for the week of April 21st 2020

Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They’re by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of April 21st 2020.

Quick shout out to those who follow my WordPress blog – recently, my hubby replaced the hard drive on my computer & updated it to Windows 10. While I was working on getting everything reorganized, I noticed that when I look at my blog without being logged in, it has about a bazillion Google AdSense ads on it! I’m guessing it’s because few months back, I got an email saying my site wasn’t optimized, so I decided to check the, “let GA optimize for me” button. While the pennies generated from people clicking the ads helps me reach the threshold of $100 about once every year-and-a-half or so (which almost covers the cost of hosting my site), I don’t want to do it at the expense (pun intended) of my readers, so I plan to readjust the settings in the very near future. Apologies for those who got bombarded with scented candle offers & college recruitment information. 😝

Now, back to the reading – the method of doing these is not my original idea. I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them, here’s a quick breakdown on how this works…

First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!

When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.

Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊

I would also like to mention…

Here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself – whatever you need to do to focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for your message.

Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting a graphic here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. Since tomorrow is Earth Day, and the New Moon in Taurus, I figured I’d include a few graphics to mark both occasions.

1. Queen of Wands

Time for center stage. You have a special talent. Now it’s time to celebrate it! Get that spotlight ready, and show the world what you have to offer. Stop imagining what it would be like to create that petition, write that book, or take that personal leap of faith – do it! Because when you, “Take your passion, and make it happen, pictures come alive, you can dance right through your life.”

Tarot Tidbit: The Queen of Wands hasn’t been seen in almost exactly a year! The last time it was in the second position, back on April 16th, 2019.

2. Eight of Cups

A new journey. Change can be scary. But sometimes you need to just walk away from it all, and start down a different path. Time to get out of your comfort zone, and follow your gut instinct that there’s something better and more fulfilling out there. This can also mean that you feel you’ve given something (like a job, relationship, or creative endeavor) everything you’ve got, and you haven’t gotten anything in return. It’s okay to say, enough’s enough, leave it behind, and look for something new that speaks to your soul. As Brent Smith from Shinedown says, “Sometimes goodbye is a second chance.”

Tarot Tidbit: The Eight of Cups was last seen at the beginning of the year, in the first position, on January 7th, 2019.

3. Six of Cups

Happier times. You’ve discovered, or rediscovered something you love. Maybe a hobby long forgotten, or a person you’re reconnecting with. You now recognize how much you care. This is the start of something beautiful and meaningful – cherish it. This may also be a reminder that if you’re in the middle of some dark times, and you’re longing for the the idyllic days in your past, stop wasting your energy wishing for what’s gone. Don’t look back – focus instead on the positive memories, and use them to inspire new ones.

Tarot Tidbit: The Six of Cups is being pretty persistent lately! It was last seen (in the first position) last week on April 14th, and before that it showed up on March 3rd, 2020 (also in the first position).
