Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They’re by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of April 28th 2020.
First I wanted to quickly mention – I did a short post last night called, “For #MicroblogMondays – Infographics for Beltane & Samhain” and a couple people hit the “like” button, so I know it was live. However this morning, the post has completely disappeared! The notifications for the likes are still there, but if I click the link, it brings me to the, “Oops! That page can’t be found” page. I’ve put in a message to my hosting company to see if they can figure out the hiccup before I try recreating it. Big silver lining though – if I do have to start from scratch, it will be wicked simple, since it also autoposted to the Hive blockchain (you can see it HERE), so I could just copy pasta it from there. 😊
Okay, now to get on with the reading – the method of doing these is not my original idea. I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them, here’s a quick breakdown on how this works…
First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!
When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.
Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊
I would also like to mention…
Here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself – whatever you need to do to focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for your message.
Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting a graphic here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. I originally planned to use my updated graphics for Beltane & Samhain but as I mentioned, I ended up using them yesterday in a post of their own. So instead I’m sharing a couple of beautiful graphics from one of my favorite Facebook pages – Magickal Moonie’s Sanctuary. Be sure to check out her amazing magickalness!
Beltane, May 1st in the Northern Hemisphere
Samhain, May 1st in the Southern Hemisphere
Finally, it’s now time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards…
…and the messages for each card are…
1. The Star
Make a wish. You’ve been to hell and back, but now is the time to put that all behind you. While you can’t (and shouldn’t) erase all the memories of the bad times, it’s within your power to make a positive change for the future. Remember, sometimes luck ain’t enough, you’ve got to make your own breaks. Look at the twinkling light in the darkness, close your eyes, and see your wish as already manifested. Can’t find the light? Pick up the closest mirror – this card is also a reminder that the one who is responsible for bringing the most light into our lives is ourselves.
Tarot Tidbit: The Star card was last seen, in the second position, only last month on March 3rd, 2020.
2. Five of Wands
Little fish meets big pond. You have that thing that you’re really good at, but lately you feel like you’re just one of many people who are good at it too. You’re afraid you don’t stand out from the competition. The bad news is, you’re right. The good news is, all you need to do is to get out there and battle for your spot. Once you’ve joined the fight for supremacy, you’ll get a sense of what you can do to make yourself stand out from all the others. Remind yourself, “in a world of Muggles, be Hermione“. Staying on the sidelines and bemoaning the fact that no one pays attention to you won’t get you the attention you want or deserve. Fight for it!
Tarot Tidbit: The Five of Wands was last seen at the beginning of the year, in the third position, on January 28th, 2020. Before that, it hadn’t been seen in almost exactly a year, with the prior time also in the second position, on February 5th, 2019.
3. Ten of Wands
The Burden. This card tends to show up for me when I’ve gotten caught in, “Fine, I’ll do it myself” mode. You know, when you think you need to do absolutely everything yourself, because no one else can do it the right way? And what happens when you do everything yourself? Yep, you get exhausted. All your creative juices are drying up. It’s time to put down the burden, and let someone else carry it for a while – even small, simple things, once delegated, will help you regain your spark. As the saying goes, “a burden shared is a burden halved.”
Tarot Tidbit: The Ten of Wands hasn’t been seen in over a year! The last time it was in the first position, way back on February 19th, 2019.
I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of April 28th 2020! Bright blessings to you!
Thanks for stopping by!
