Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in November 2015, then switched to every week almost a year later in September 2016. They’re by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of April 6th 2021.
Quick shout out before we get started – we’re coming up on the first full week of #NaBloPoMo and #HiveBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month and the Hive version of it) and I’m wicked happy to see so many people jumping in. Thanks so much to everyone participating and/or spreading the word about this challenge and I’m already excited to see how we all do in just over three weeks time!
As for the reading – the setup of how I do these was not my original idea. I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them (usually posting the card backs first, then the messages at a later time), here’s a quick breakdown on how this works…
First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!
When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.
Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊
I would also like to mention…
Now here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself – whatever you need to do to focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for the picture of the front of the cards, and your message.
Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting some of my infographics here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. I created this particular graphic back in 2017, as part of my Witchy Quote challenge, and since it’s making the rounds on social media again (and I still get ridiculously excited whenever I stumble upon someone I don’t know sharing it!), I thought it would be a good choice for today. And yes, this is the crow I nicknamed Angel, who used to pose for pictures back when I wandered our yard with my camera on a daily basis. In fact, I did a post yesterday with some pictures from when he first started hanging around, which is another reason why this graphic was on my mind.

Now it’s time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards…
…and the messages for each card are…
1. Seven of Cups
Decisions, decisions. You know the saying, “Careful what you wish for – you might get it?” After wishing you had more options, suddenly you have a ton to choose from. Now is not the time to be dazzled by the display – instead, take some time to carefully consider the practicalities involved, and pick based on reality, not wishful thinking. This card also shows up for me as a reminder to stop dreaming, and start doing – or, in the immortal words of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, “Don’t dream it, be it.”
Tarot Tidbit: The Seven of Cups was last seen, in the third position, all the way back last summer on July 7th, 2020.
2. Queen of Wands
Time for center stage. You have a special talent. Now it’s time to celebrate it! Get that spotlight ready, and show the world what you have to offer. Stop imagining what it would be like to create that petition, write that book, or take that personal leap of faith – do it! Because when you, “Take your passion, and make it happen, pictures come alive, you can dance right through your life.”
Tarot Tidbit: The Queen of Wands was last seen, in the third position, also all the way back last summer (or actually technically spring) on June 9th, 2020.
3. Nine of Swords
It’s not that bad. You know the facts, and they aren’t great. But it’s not the end of the world either. Stop focusing on the fear and negativity, because all it’s doing is blowing the problem way out of proportion. No sense in wasting energy worrying about the “what ifs” – instead, look for something distracting to help you break out of this cycle of, “doom and gloom, DOOM AND GLOOM!” Maybe grab your favorite, “gotta get out of this funk” movie (mine is Stardust), and forget about your worries for a while.
Tarot Tidbit: The Nine of Swords hasn’t been in almost exactly a year! The last time it was also in the third position, on April 14th, 2020.
I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of April 6th 2021! Bright blessings to you!
Thanks for stopping by!
