Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They’re by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of April 7th 2020.
Quick shout out to let people know that things here in my little corner of the world are still as okay as they can be right now. Hubby had to call out of work (because cable technicians are considered essential, even though he’s on light duty) yesterday because his shoulder got angry, and he called out again today because the ick I had back on the 13th of last month is back. I’m pretty sure it’s just the usual seasonal stuff I get every year, but needless to say, we’re trying to err on the side of caution. I hope everyone else is doing as well (if not better) as can be expected right now too.
So now, back to the cards – the method of doing these is not my original idea. I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them, here’s a quick breakdown on how this works…
First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!
When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.
Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊
I would also like to mention…
Here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself – whatever you need to do to focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for your message.
Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting a graphic here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. Since later today the Full Pink Super Moon arrives (in my neck of the woods it’s at 10:35 PM EST), I thought I’d share a couple of full moon rituals I’ve put together over the years. I also created an infographic for it, with times and magical working information, which you can find HERE.
Finally, it’s now time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards…
…and the messages for each card are…
1. King of Cups
Calm, cool, collected. There’s been a great deal of drama in your life as of late, and the King is here to remind you that you can have emotions, but you are in control of them, not the other way around. See how he manages to keep his cup steady, even in the stormiest seas? He’s mastered the art of expressing feelings in a calm and mature manner. The logical mind and the intuitive heart can work together successfully, if you practice enough. And keep in mind, like Incubus says in Drive, “…lately I am beginning to find/That I should be the one behind the wheel.”
Tarot Tidbit: This is only the third time the King of Cups has made an appearance on a Tarot Tuesday! The first time was back on August 20th, 2019, and the more recent one was October 22nd, 2019 where it was also in the first position.
2. The Fool
Take that step! You have the chance to start down a new road, full of possibilities. Don’t second guess yourself – trust where this path is taking you, and make that leap! While you’ve been worrying that you’re not ready, and you still have to gather your things, just look – you’re already carrying everything you need with you. One word of caution – make sure you watch where you’re going. If you get caught up in the excitement, and start daydreaming while staring at the clouds, you may find yourself stepping off a cliff. Simply pay attention to your surroundings, put one foot in front of the other, and your journey will be magical.
Tarot Tidbit: The Fool was last spotted just a couple weeks ago, also in the second position, on March 17th, 2020.
3. Three of Swords
Yikes! Every time I see this card as my daily, that’s the first word that pops into my head. Today is going to be a day of finding out things you really don’t want to hear, but in the end, they will be extremely healing. Like lancing a wound, you will get some pretty cutting truths, but at least you will finally have the facts, even if they aren’t the ones you want. Let the poison in your heart drain out, then you can begin to heal. Give yourself some time to wallow, listen to your favorite emo song (I usually go for Closure by Chevelle), then take a deep breath and move on.
Tarot Tidbit: The Three of Swords was last spotted, back in the fall in the first position, on October 29th, 2019.
I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of April 7th 2020! Bright blessings to you!
