Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They’re by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of August 25th 2020.
Yes, I know it’s technically still Monday in my corner of the world, but my Tuesday morning is going to be a little busy, between getting ready for the next Hive Power Up Day coming up on September 1st, and another awesome #HiveChat happening on Twitter (so fair warning to my friends who follow me there – my feed will be flooded again between 8am and 9am EST) so I thought I’d get a head start. Speaking of HiveChat, for more information on how to participate, check out these excellent posts –

And now with that said, it’s time to start the reading. The setup of how I do these was not my original idea – I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them (usually posting the card backs first, then the messages at a later time), here’s a quick breakdown on how this works…
First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!
When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.
Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊
I would also like to mention…
Now here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself – whatever you need to do to focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for the picture of the front of the cards, and your message.
Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting some of my infographics here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. I’ve been meaning to turn one of my favorite ocean shots, taken back in 2015 on a visit to my mother in my hometown of Glocuester, MA, into another quoto (quote + photo = quoto) for ages now (I did a couple years ago, before I discovered Canva). Then earlier today, in a reply to @storiesoferne‘s post, Away From The Chaos, I replied with a screenshot of my phone’s wallpaper, featuring my wave photo, and thought it was high time to get one done. I decided to once again use the first quote I paired with this back in 2015, from Margaret Atwood’a book, The Penelopiad. Speaking of this photo and my mother, she’s been one of my best customers for the Zazzle greeting card I put together for it – thanks again, Mom! ❤️

Now it’s time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards…
…and the messages for each card are…
1. The Sun
Bask in the rays! It’s that glorious moment when Dorothy opens the door and steps into Oz for the first time. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and you can see the path before you (not to mention, the wicked witch hasn’t shown up yet with her downer, shoe stealing vibes). Enjoy this moment to the fullest, and maybe even to spread the rays of sunshine to the people around you with a random act of kindness or two. It’s the time to say, “goodbye to my weakness/ so long to the regret/ and now I see the world through diamond eyes!”
Tarot Tidbit: The Sun card was last seen, in the second position, way back last fall ago on October 15th, 2019.
2. Temperance
Work towards unity. Sometimes it feels like you’re trying to blend oil and water together, and no matter how hard you stir, they stay separated. Don’t give up hope. With careful and thoughtful actions, you can finally bring together those things that are trying to push away. Keep in mind, like my favorite Tarot website says, “a bow and arrow are useless apart, but together a formidable weapon.”
Tarot Tidbit: After saying back a couple months ago on June 30th 2020 that Temperance seems to come around once a year at this time, it’s back again, also in the second position. Prior to that, it was last seen on July 16th, 2019 in the third position – the time before it was also in the second position, on July 31st,2018.
3. Strength
Believe in yourself. People have told you time and time again that you couldn’t do it alone, because you weren’t (strong, smart, tough) enough. Nonsense! As Glinda said to Dorothy, “You don’t need to be helped any longer. You’ve always had the power to go back to Kansas.” Okay, maybe a visit to Auntie Em and Uncle Henry’s farm isn’t on your wish list, but you have the courage and compassion to tame the beast of self-doubt.
Tarot Tidbit: The Strength card was last seen, in the second position, also back a couple months ago on June 2nd, 2020.
Extra Tarot Tidbit: It’s been quite a while since I’ve had a reading with all three Majors! While I’m not exactly sure since I haven’t had time to go back through, I believe it was around the beginning of the year. I do, however know, that on October 15th, 2019 all three cards were Majors, because that was the last time The Sun popped up (as I said above, in the second position) and Strength was in the first! The Star was the third card in that particular draw. It’s also interesting that two of the interpretations featured Dorothy – not sure if that’s significant for anyone, but thought I’d mention it just in case.
I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of August 25th 2020! Bright blessings to you!
