Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in November 2015, then switched to every week almost a year later in September 2016. They’re by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of July 20th 2021.
Before I get started, I thought I’d mention that on this past Sunday night, I decided I needed to take a break from Tarot Tuesdays for a bit. As I said in the opening paragraph, I started off posting them monthly for close to a year, then every week (with only two weeks missed) for almost five years, and I did the math – that makes 262 readings so far! So I thought I’d do a post this week letting everyone know they’d be back soon-ish, but I needed to recharge my batteries and maybe see if I could get some of my other posts (including full moon photos from May and June) published in the meantime.
Then Monday evening, I thought that since I’m so close to the five year mark, I should just keep going for the next month or so, then reevaluate at that time. I know I don’t have a wicked huge audience (between my WordPress and my Hive blogs, about 200-300 people stop by every week), but you’ve all been so awesomely supportive that I didn’t want to just stop them abruptly. After that, I pulled the cards for this week and thought, “hmmm, I think the cards have an opinion about this too…” 😂
At any rate, as for the reading – the setup of how I do these was not my original idea. I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them (usually posting the card backs first, then the messages at a later time), here’s a quick breakdown on how this works…
First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!
When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.
Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊
I would also like to mention…
Now here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself – whatever you need to do to focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for the picture of the front of the cards, and your message.
Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting some of my infographics here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. Since Friday is the Full Thunder Moon in Aquarius, I thought I’d share a couple of my full moon ritual graphics.

Now it’s time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards…
…and the messages for each card are…
1. The Hermit
Time for quiet contemplation. You need solitude. Some quiet time to reflect on things without distractions. It could be as simple as 15 minutes alone in a room without electronics or interruptions. But this isn’t the time to rest or nap – this is a chance to actively listen to your inner voice and see what it’s saying to you. Try something like journaling or guided meditation, and see how loud the silence can be.
Tarot Tidbit: The Hermit was last seen, in the first position, just a couple months ago on May 11th, 2021.
2. The Emperor
Father of all creation. This is the fundamental father – disciplined, stable, and the protector of all those he cares for. It’s now time time to take charge of things – handle those responsibilities you’ve let slide, structure your time more efficiently, and put up boundaries with people/situations who aren’t giving you the respect you deserve. Remember, sometimes it’s good to be king.
Tarot Tidbit: The Emperor hasn’t shown up much for Tarot Tuesdays – in fact, this is only the eighth time it’s appeared since its first appearance back in October of 2018! The last time it was spotted was just a couple months ago (in the third position), on May 25th, 2021.
3. The Chariot
Find your middle ground. As Mr Miyagi said, “Better learn balance. Balance is key. Balance good, karate good. Everything good. Balance bad, better pack up, go home. Understand?” Think of the two horses in the card as being negative and positive emotions – if you focus solely on urging one ahead to win the race, you’ll soon be off-balance and your carriage will overturn. Keep a tight and balanced hold on your reins, harness your power, and gallop ahead to victory.
Tarot Tidbit: The Chariot was last seen, also in the second position, about four months ago on March 9th, 2021.
Extra Tarot Tidbit: Wow, three Major Arcana in one draw! The last time that happened also happened to be the last time The Chariot showed up, on March 9th, 2021. Since I pulled those cards a short time after thinking about what to do about Tarot Tuesdays, it seems they’re confirming my decision to take a break after the first week in September (probably until the start of 2022, unless I change my mind after a week or two…lol). I guess I do need time to reflect, take care of the posts I’ve let slide, and find some balance. Thanks for the affirmation, Universe!
I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of July 20th 2021! Bright blessings to you!
Thanks for stopping by!
